Tyson's pov "I am really getting pissed off by Ryker attitude, he will never let me do anything I want, he is just sitting on that throne and dishing out orders like it's nothing" ... I said out angrily,. I and Ace had just been ordered by the alpha king Ryker to get prepared for the banquet that would be taking place on that day, "Like we have anything to do there, just to come and great his guests," Ace replied as we walked down the hall way Ace was my twin brother we were the descendants of the moon goddess herself, Ryker who was our elder brother was also the alpha king of the blood raider pack in the city of Avalon. He was an imposing figure whose presence radiated dominance. Overseeing our every move was Ryker, because of his imposing figure and over shadowing lifestyle, our life was far from free of constraints. He would not even allow us to choose when and what to eat As the definitive alpha king of the blood raider pack, Ryker held the realm in his unyielding grasp, a powerful force that left no room for defiance. His unshakeable control cast a formidable shadow, one that stretched even over I and Ace, his younger brothers. I and ace always wanted to be free form our elder brother's shackles, they wanted to live their life to the fullest and make choices of their own but Ryker would never allow that, not under his nostrils. Yes we were descendants of the moon goddess but we yearned for more, freedom from our own brother . ********************************************** Dusk had already started to be fall the skies and the party had already started, just like we expected, Ryker called Ace and I to greet his guests and make them feel welcome, it was while we were saying our hellos to king Arthur, the alpha king of the silver crest pack, our neighboring pack, that i sighted a young beautiful maiden, her hair was black as ebony and her lips red as the roses, I was captivated by her beauty, I needed to talk to her but I feared the presence of the king. After some moments of giving a thoughtful review to my self, I summoned the courage to approach the maiden. "May I be excused my kings" I said to the two king laughing at each other's jokes "You may go on" they both said in unison and I bowed and turned to leave, leaving Ace with them. As I walked up to the maiden, I didn't know what to say at first, I was confused and frustrated, I hardly talked to the people from the outside. Ryker my elder brother made me to always stay in the castle with my twin brother, Ace. I decided to go with the flow and know what will come off it I went towards her table an sat beside her "Can we have two glasses over here" I said to the servants, at least getting the beautiful lady a drink will be nice for a start "What a gentleman" she said to me as she smiled boldly "a beautiful maiden like you deserves more than just a glass of wine" I said as I tried to figure out the best of words to use, "If you say so" she Said as she giggled slightly "I do say so"... I said feeling the best of my self "May I know more this gentleman standing before me" she said smiling at me "Of course, my lady," I replied with a confident grin. "I am Tyson, am the younger brother to the alpha king Ryker, whom you are in his castle at the moment, over there standing right beside my the king is Ace, my twin brother" I said to her " How fascinating, well my name is Melissa, but how come I have never seen you before" she was amazed " Maybe because we were never allowed to leave the castle " I replied Just when I thought things were getting better, I felt a hand on my shoulders, it was obvious some one was behind me and whispered to my ears " Brother ".... It was Ace " the king summons your presence " he said to me " What for" I asked Ace " I don't know"... He said " maybe because he is the king, you better go to him, to avoid any punishment" he whispered to my ears I turned and looked back at Ace, with an anger and frustration surging through my bones. It seemed like Ryker's control reached even into this fleeting moment of conversation, I felt like I could not take it anymore, this was getting too much for me to bear. With a sigh, I turned back to the maiden, offering her an apologetic smile. "It appears the king summons my presence", I said regretfully. "But I'm not the type to ignore an opportunity when I see one. May I have the honor of continuing this conversation later, perhaps after the banquet?" Her eyes sparkled with intrigue, and she nodded. "I would be waiting, Tyson. Until then." I stood up, shooting her a parting smile before reluctantly heading back to where my brother and the kings stood. Ryker's stern gaze met mine as I approached, and I could practically feel the weight of his expectations. "My king"... I said to him with sign of defiance surging through my voice, " You summoned me" "Don't you think that there are some certain matters that requires your attention other than idle conversations with that maiden" he said with a low tone I bit back a retort, reminding myself that confrontation wouldn't yield the freedom I sought. Instead, I nodded respectfully. "Very well, sire. I am at your service." I knew that there was nothing he wanted me to attend to but to continue welcoming his guests and I had no other choice than to obey his words, I didn't even get to ask the maiden her name The banquet carried on, a swirl of conversations, laughter, and clinking glasses
