I woke up to him wrapping me in a heavy down jacket and to my surprise, I wasn't in the hospital gown anymore but had been dressed in loose cotton pants and white socks.
“Hey?" I called him and my voice came out croaked.
“Did I wake you up? Sorry. Are you ready to go home?" He asked me and hell yeah! “Oh, we are going home? Finally!" I beamed and yawned.
“Hold on. We will be home in less than an hour and then you can sleep some more," he said and I smiled.
I couldn't wait to smell our own bed and the fresh green of the area we lived in.
I didn't even know where this hospital was located and I didn't hate it but I just wanted to feel grounded.
