He’d grudgingly agreed to help River with her covert plan – oh who was he kidding, he’d do anything for her. He was so protective of her that he would have followed her into the wildest parts of the Crossing Lines if she asked it of him. But he was surprised when they were suddenly faced with a large, intimidating brindle wolf, snarling at him for trying to protect River. Next thing he knew he was jumped by two warriors and his face shoved into the ground while his arms were restrained uncomfortably behind his back.
