~Ivy~
I placed my head down on the desk and shut my eyes to take a little nap about 30 minutes back. After a while, I woke up to loud shouting coming from outside the office. I quickly got up and went to go explore where the loud noise was coming from. I saw my boss and an older man who could be his father (in which I ended up being right) arguing at each other. There was an older woman just standing there quietly beside the older man.
"Why did they call me angrily saying you had rejected the deal for partnership with them?! And all over some woman that just started working here today?!" the older man yelled.
"Dad, I had my reasons as to why I am not moving forward with the business deal. Just leave it at that, alright? I will not be working with pedophiles," my boss responded.
The older woman looked up and caught my eye. I quickly stepped back from view and went back to my desk.
I began writing my letter of resignation and when I finished, I got up and placed it on his desk. I found a secret way to get down from his office by stairs and headed down to leave that way.
I explained to him in the letter of resignation that he should take the business deal as I would not be a hindrance to his company's progression in the business world.

~Finally Home~
I got into my house and dropped my bags. I headed to take a shower and relax when I heard my phone chime. I got a text message. I reached for my cell phone.
It was from my now ex-boss.
'What do you mean by giving me this letter of resignation?' the text read.
I sighed. 'It means what it means. I cannot be a burden to your company and its moving forward. All because of something that had happened to me in the past,' I replied.
I took my shower and I saw my phone blowing up with messages from him. The last one I read was 'Open the door. I'm outside.'
I quickly grabbed my towel and headed to the door. He cannot be there! He must've left by now!
As soon as I opened it, I wish I hadn't. Because there he stood waiting for me with an angry look on his face.
He barged into my house and I shut my door. He took a seat on my couch and looked at me.
"So, are you going to really tell me what the letter was about? Or did I have to come here for nothing?" he asked.
"I already told you what the letter was about. I guess you came here for nothing. Excuse me, I need to go and change," I said.
I began to walk into my bedroom when I heard footsteps behind me and before I knew it, I was being pushed into the room and onto my bed. Somehow, I wasn't scared. Just shocked.
I got up and stood in front of him. He just looked angrier than I had ever seen him.
"What are you doing? Why do you think you can come into my home and act like this?" I asked, with my hands on my hips.
He just smirked, while looking me up and down.
"You are standing here in front of me with nothing on but a towel, so what do you expect me to do? You don't know what you are doing to me right now," he said.
I gasped. "Well, you came barging after me when I was trying to change into clothes. So you can leave now so I can change into something more decent," I said.
He chuckled. "I will turn around and wait for you to finish changing. We need to talk about this so-called letter of resignation you placed on my desk today," he said.
He turned around and I quickly changed into a tank top and some shorts.
"Ready now. We can talk in the living room," I said.
"Why don't you want to talk here? Afraid that something can happen in here? I just want to talk," he asked.
I sighed. I sat on my bed across from him.
"So, why did you resign or put this on my desk today? I told you not to think about quitting ever," he said.
I sighed. "Look, I will be honest. I never imagined that I would get the position to work here because I felt insecure about my abilities. Plus, my ex-boss had blackballed me from applying to most jobs in the business world, so I am not sure as to how you found my application," I said.
He sighed. "I have my ways of how I find talent I want to work with me. I see something in you that you may not see in yourself, love. Believe me when I say this, as I am never wrong," he said.
I laughed. "You're never wrong? Guess I proved you wrong this time. Because I will never come back to work," I said.
He stood up and walked out my room without saying anything.
I got up to follow him, as he began heading to my front door. He opened the door, looked back at me and said, "You better be in my office tomorrow morning at 0800 with my coffee on my desk, love. Have a good night."
He walked out and shut the door. I went to lock the door and took a deep breath.
'Why won't he let me resign? Why won't he let me go?' I think to myself.
I make a quick dinner and head to bed for the next day.
I don't think I will go to work. He cannot do anything because I legally resigned.

Next Day
...
Alarm goes off at 9:00 am
Someone is banging on my front door! Who could that be?!
I rush to my front door to see who it was and there HE stood.
"Let me in," he said, through clenched teeth.
Oh dear. Am I in trouble now.
