I Got You, Babe...

Her ex-boss r***d her?! He proudly says that in front of me and her ex (I'm guessing). I am not surprised how disgusting the guy is. I am glad that we will not be doing business with them anymore. She will never have to deal with them or any guy like them! I mean it!

"So, you don't think I didn't have that recorded? All you just confessed to doing to her? Well, I did. Get prepared to go to jail for a very long time, you disgusting pig," I said.

Her ex-boss gasped in shock. I laughed and saw how white he became.

"Please forgive me, Ivy! I have a wife and a daughter! They need me with them! They can't be without me! Please don't turn this in to the police!" he pleaded to Ivy.

Ivy sighed. I hope she wasn't planning on letting this go.

"Mr. McIntyre, look, don't turn that recording into the police. What happened to me has already happened and I am moving past it. I just had my weak moments then. But I cannot let his daughter grow up without her father. I know what that feels like. Not having a dad to grow up with you," she said.

I grunted. I am clenching my fists tightly. "Why are you doing this?! He took your virginity by force! And do you not want to see him rot in prison for his crime?! Why are you asking me this?" I asked, angrily.

"Please. This is all I will ask of you, just don't turn it in, alright?" she asked.

I sighed. "Fine. I will not turn it in now, but I will keep it in case you try to do something else to her. As a reminder that you could be going to jail," I said.

Her ex-boss began saying, "Thank you, Ivy. Thank you very much. This means a lot to me." He began to walk away when I stopped him by saying, "Apologize to her now. For what you did to her."

He turned around.

"Mr. McIntyre, please don't make this harder than it has to be. I never expected him to apologize to me or my ex to believe me because they all think I am a slut and wanted to do things with them to get a higher position in the workplace. Jax, now you realize that you should have believed me when I told you the truth about what he did to me back then, right? You had ample time to show me that you believed me and wanted to protect me, but it's too late. I hope you have a good life in your high position," she said, before walking back inside my building.

"If I ever catch either of you near her, it's jail for both of you. Now leave my premises immediately," I warned them.

I headed back inside after I saw them leave my building. I rush to find her and see why she actually did that. She should not have given him that chance.

I head to my office and find her just with her head down on her desk. I sighed.

"Why did you do that? You should have let me put him in jail because of what he did to you! Why are you like this?!"' I asked loudly for her to hear.

She picks her head up and wipes her tears away.

"I don't know why you even recorded the conversation anyway. You shouldn't have done that down there," she said.

I chuckled. "Why shouldn't I not have recorded it? I am glad that I did. For proof, so they cannot deny that it didn't happen," I said.

"Because it is my battle. It's not your battle to fight for me. You just met me today and heard what happened today. Please pay attention to things that can benefit your business, and my issue will not benefit you," she said.

I moved to my desk and sat down. "I will take care of my employees and I will fight to protect you, against men that are like assaulters as that pig," I said.

I saw her take a deep breath. "What is wrong? Have you never had a guy want to fight for you before?" I asked.

She sighed and said, "No, I haven't had anyone want to fight for me before. Not even my ex-bf that you saw outside, as you know. He didn't believe me when I told him what my ex-boss had done to me. He was my first boyfriend," she said.

I was shocked! She is telling me things. I think she is trusting me about her personal issues. "He was your first boyfriend? Are you serious? That can't be right," I said.

She giggled. "Why are you shocked? Yes, that's true. I had never dated before him. Only because I was not looking for anyone and no one was looking for me then," she said. She turned her face to look outside the window and I got up to go over to her.

I held her hand and she looked up at me. "Look, you don't have to tell me what you don't want too. You are not obligated to tell me things that you are uncomfortable with," I said.

She gets up and just gives me a hug. "It's alright. You have proven to me that I can trust you," she said.

She must have realized that she had taken me off guard and stepped back from me quickly.

I cleared my throat. "I'm glad that you are able to feel as if you can open up to me and trust me with your past. You know I am here. If you need someone to talk too. I am a listening ear," I said. She smiled softly.

I sighed and walked back to my desk and took my seat. I continued working on my files for the next upcoming meeting that I have scheduled for later today.
