Nova's words were nothing more than an attempt to remind Lucas that Chloe was just a pretty face with no substance.
Among the people meeting for business today was Nova's uncle, Jordan Bell.
Nova had already known that Lucas would be meeting Jordan and his associates, so she deliberately arranged for them to meet at the shooting range.
Her goal? To get rid of Chloe and create some alone time with Lucas, of course.
But unexpectedly, Chloe stuck to Lucas like glue and showed up anyway, much to Nova's dismay. Unable to hold back, Nova started targeting Chloe with her remarks.
Lucas pressed his thin lips together, his expression growing cold as he said, "Chloe is here because I brought her. Who are you to tell her to leave?"
"Lucas, that's not what I meant," Nova quickly explaine
