Episode Three

1249 Words
Three weeks later... Time had passed quicker than Aria realised for she had been in darkness beep in the back of her mind since her encounter with the moon goddess and at first she thought had dreamt it but something deep in her gut told her that wasn't the case.  A beeping noise started to move her further away from the depths of her subconscious and she wanted nothing more than to wake up and see where she was but for some reason, she just couldn't get her body to cooperate with the simple task of opening her eyes. All she could think about is whether they had found her when she had hit the ground and couldn't stop wondering whether she was back in her room where she had been kept all these years; she tried as hard as she could to shake the feeling of terror that crept in whenever that thought invaded her mind. This caused the beeping to get louder and louder making her wish what every that noise was to just stop.  At that moment a door in the distance opened and closed and she felt something touching her arm sending a soothing sensation to curse through her. The beeping stopped and was replaced by a voice.  "Is there any changes? when will she wake up" the voice said. It was a deep raspy tone that could only mean the owner of that voice was a man but for once Aria didn't feel afraid. Usually, a male's mere presence was enough to send her into a state of anxiety and worry, well except Noah. He had never hurt her at least not physically during all those years in captivity but this voice belonged to an unknown individual so why wasn't she scared?  If anything she prayed to hear it again and the desire to open her eyes increased. She needed to know who that voice belonged to and more importantly where she was if she was no longer in the forest nor back in the rouges grasps.  *Unknown p.o.v*  "Is there any changes? when will she wake up" I asked the pack doctor once my mate's heartbeat regulated and her body stopped trashing  It had been three weeks since I found her and brought her to the pack's hospital. During these three weeks, I had done nothing other than sit next to her in hopes she would wake up but she remained still. However, as luck would have it the one time I left for longer than 10 minutes I returned to the machine attached to her small frame going mad and her fragile body trashing as if she was having a nightmare.  The doctor pulled me out of my thoughts by clearing his voice and once my attention was back on him, he finally spoke.  "She seems to of endured a lot of trauma by looking at her body but until she wakes up we won't know how far the trauma runs so it's difficult to say when she will wake up for definite as it seems that her wolf is very weak which caused her body to shut itself off and put her in a coma-like state. The fact, however, that her body seems to be responding to your touch gives  me hope the Luna will wake up it's just a matter of  when" Doctor Conners told me honestly before doing a few last checks, bowing his head and stepping out the door  I looked at her sleeping form while taking her hand in mine. "Come back to me" I begged her softly in hopes she could hear me.  We didn't get the chance to meet each other the way other mates did nor did we know each other the way they did but I knew our bond was just as strong if not stronger. I could feel it and I needed her to open up her eyes, I needed to get to know every part of her both physically and internally. I needed her.  *Aria's p.o.v* There was that voice again. It pleaded with me to come back to him as he knew me and even though he sounded so desperate and slightly broken I didn't recognise his voice meaning I didn't know him so how could I go back to him if I didn't know him?. Regardless, his request makes me want to do as he asked and wake up but something was stopping me from doing so. "Why can't I open my eyes!" I screamed in frustration to myself feeling defeated  "Are you ready my child?". That voice. I knew that voice. "Selene?" I asked the darkness and once again I was back in the meadow with her standing in front of me.  "Why can't I wake up?" I asked her before she could even speak. She smiled at me before answering "Do you want to?"  Why did she have to speak in riddles! why wouldn't I want to wake up?. "YES! why wouldn't I want to wake up? Where am I?"  I shouted at her surprising us both with my outburst but Selene seemed to be happy with my answer and nodded her head at me before speaking again, "Very well my child but don't disregard your findings once you do. I promise your safe"  and disappeared once again. The meadow started to fade and I prepared my self to return to the darkness in my mind but instead, I was greeted by a white light as my eyes fluttered open. "Where am I?" I asked but my voice seemed to come out raspy and even I struggled to understand myself.  *Unknown p.o.v*  I felt her stir and as I looked up her eyes fluttered open. "Where am I?" She asked but her voice was so dry it was difficult to understand and if I wasn't a werewolf I probably wouldn't have caught was she said. I quickly grabbed the water that was on the table and offered it to her with a smile. "Here drink this". I told her but she just looked at me with uncertainty.  That one look made my wolf whimper. She didn't know if she could trust her and I know I can't blame her but it hurt nonetheless. She eyes the cup in my hand before slowly nodding and taking it from me with shaky hands. I helped her bring the glass to her lips worried she would end up dropping it from how weak she seamed and watched as she gulped it down.  "Better?" I asked her keeping my tone soft so she didn't feel threatened in any way, she simply nodded and I could tell she was still unsure whether to trust me or not. I opened my mouth again but stopped as the door of her room opened and Doctor Conners walked in once again.  "Your awake!" He exclaimed looking between us with a surprised face before composing himself. His presence seemed to make my mate shift uncomfortable on the bed for a moment before taking a deep breath to calm herself down and speaking once again.  "Where am I? Who are you?" She asked shifting her gaze between us trying not to show how frightened she truly was but I could sense it and I'm sure Conners could too as he slowly sat on the vacant chair to the left of her before smiling at her and began to explain where she was and what had happened.
