Elara's POV
Jordan stared at me, his eyes full of sincerity. "I do not think I can survive without you, Elara."
My heart skipped a beat, I felt butterflies in my belly flutter so loud I thought he could hear it.
I settled down on the empty space besides Jordan as he continued, his voice low and steady. "It is not just the bond, though that might be part of it but it is you, Elara. It has always been you. From the way you care even when you are scared." He paused to gulp a lump down his throat. "I-I...I care about you, more than I have ever cared about anyone else."
