Caspian POV Her blue eyes widens like she can't believe the offer I just laid out to her on a silver platter, her blonde hair is mated with dirt but it doesn't take away from her beauty. “What. What do you mean by your wife? She stutters, a deep frown on her face I nod along with her, I mean it, “I need a wife by tomorrow to show my family and secure my inheritance, I promised them a wife by dinner and I am a man of my word, I will be pulling through with this, so Diana will you marry me?” I say again, my arms placed at the top of the seat, my other arm on my long legs completely enveloping her “I will make sure your mother has the best and you have the best, all you have to do is marry me by tomorrow morning at the registry, and I will take you home to my parents, you will keep this marriage secret as you know I don't like my private life out there, you will be allowed to do whatever you want Diana, pursue your dreams and career without worrying about your next meal for the day. “Just marry me.” She gulps, her eyes searching mine for the truth, she can't believe the offer, she turns around, her arms curled up around each other, “can I think about it?” “You have tonight Diana” I turn around watching her from my side view, I place my hands in my pocket pulling out a couple of dollar bills, here, get dinner for yourself and your mother I hand her the bills, but she is hesitant her first, but I send her a kind smile, something to relax her nerves ”if you will be a part of this, I need you to stand outside here in a white dress tomorrow by 8 am,” I say as she grabs the dollar bills from my fingers, quickly tucking them in her purse. She nods, her features hesitant “Thank you for today sir” she nods pushing the door of the car open “It’s Caspain to you, darling,” I say, my voice deep, making her cheeks cover in pink almost immediately, I could even see it through the dark sky. She closes the door and I watch as she enters the rickety building, nobody should live in a place like this, “Dave, find out who the manager of this building is, offer him some money and huy out the building, renovations should start immediately” I call out to him as the car proceeds to move While taking a walk to clear my head after my girlfriend's betrayal, I came across the men grabbing her and blindfolding her, I immediately stopped them and instantly developed a soft spot for the lady Diana, she looks kind, although rough from suffering for so much, but those are things that can easily be fixed. I had pretended to be a measly manager for two years to my girlfriend and I was finally going to admit my real self to her when I found evidence of her cheating on me, for months, but before I could break up with her, she broke up with me through a text and disappeared. I was going to propose to her and take her to my parents due to my inheritance from my grandfather being released by tomorrow at dinner but it came with a clause, I had to be married. Diana POV My heart drums in my chest as I climb into the elevator, I had grabbed a few things from the supermarket on the ground floor of the building, the bag weight heavy in my hands, it has been years since I bought this much food at once. “Ava will be so happy, Mother will be so happy” I whisper to myself, my mood dampens when I remember Indigo's words, how do u break the news to her? Maybe I'll tell her I didn't go there again. Caspian offer swings like a pendulum in my brain as the elevator doors pull open, “Be his wife?” my keys click together as I open the door, my mother is still in the same position as I left her. “She finally slept off a few hours back” Ava whispers watching her with a sigh, she turns her head to the bags in my hand “Woah, where did you get those?” she grabs a few bags for me moving to the kitchen “Luck shined on us tonight” I send her a small smile, my eyes moving back to my mom's peaceful face, my answer to Caspian's offer already staring at me in the face. “What did Indigo say?” she says pulling out the chicken drumsticks “Woah, we are eating in luxury this week” she giggles placing them in the fridge “And there's more where that came from” I whisper, sharing a small smile with her as the night takes over. The next morning I feel conflicted, I feel like I'm about to sell myself, how do I tell my family what is going on “Diana you have a call” Ava calls from the living room where I'm standing. Front of the only proper white dress I have, a cotton flare dress, I've had it for years and it fits me perfectly. “I'll be right there!!” I yell back quickly pulling in the dress, “Who is it?” I tell her while I pull my hair into a ponytail entering the living room “Good morning ma” I walk up to her, leaving a kiss on her cheek “A Mr C” she shrugs handing the phone to me, I frown a Mr C, “Hello who is this?” “You can't forget me that easily Diana, I’m the man you will be marrying today” his voice echoes through the phone, again enough to make any woman fall deeply for him, “My guess is you are ready” he continues “How do you know I will be accepting your proposal?” I raise a brow at him whispering the words as I pull myself out onto the balcony “Because you're wearing white,” he says into the phone it almost seems like he's smiling widely “Look down Diana” He says My eyes look down at the balcony where I spot the same SUV from yesterday, Caspain is standing in front of his car, in a dark blue suit and a red tie. “Ready to marry me?” he calls out
