Diana POV
“It's not 8 am yet,” I say walking out of the building and standing in front of him.
“You clean up nicely” he compliments
Pulling the door open for me, “Is that an insult or compliment?” I enter the car, followed by him.
“I don’t remember you having so many smart replies last night” he turns slightly to me sharing a smile.
“After almost being kidnapped, I think I have a bit more confidence in myself,” I say making the same driver from last night chuckle
“Interesting” he whispers pulling out a few papers you need to sign these before we get there.
I nod, pulling out the papers, “A formal contract” I whisper
“Yes” he nods, I have two rules when it comes to our marriage, “Never speak to anyone about it, you do not know how I look, you don't know me, in exchange I will help you pursue whatever career and you will Excell beautifully with my influence
“I don't want that, anything I do with my career, I want to work for it,” I tell him, my expression strong and convincing
He sends me a nod, pulling himself closer to me, his shoulder rubs against my skin, his perfume intoxicated me, the scent almost makes me want to push myself into his chest and stay there forever.
His breath is heavy on my skin, and his deep voice echoes in my ears like a whisper “Secondly you are not allowed to fall in love with me Diana” he says the words pulling back and looking at my lovestruck face already.
“What do you mean?” I say
” I am not interested in loving or being with another woman again, this marriage is a contract marriage, and it will last for a duration of only 2 years.” he continues, do you agree to these terms?
I turn my eyes to the paper in my hand, the car coming to a stop in front of the registry, I bit my lip, nervousness racking through me
“It's now or never Diana,” he says beside me, sending me a worried look
“I need a pen” I whisper to myself remembering my mother at home, promises to Ava about a better life, a better future for her.
“Upon completion of the marriage, I will leave you with a mansion, twenty million dollars and your mother and family fully provided for” he pulls out a pen, turning to me, and staring at my shocked face.
“20…million” I stutter
He nods, “What do you say, Diana, will you be marrying me today?”
I pluck the pen from his fingers immediately putting my signature down on each page.
He sends me a short smile, let's go get married.
“I Diana Patel, take you, Caspain Grey to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better and for worse, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish and obey, till death do us part and there to I pledge to you my faithfulness,” I say the words, he pulls out two rings shocking me, I grab his good band placing it on his fingers waiting for him to continue his vows
I Caspain Grey, take you, Diana Patel, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better and for worse, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish, till death do us part and there to I pledge to you my faithfulness” he says in the silent room in the private ceremony the only witnesses are the driver and the man joining us.
He picks up the gold band with the biggest diamond my eyes have ever seen, he delicately places it on my finger.
The Priest sends us a smile, “You may kiss your bride”
My eyes widened at the thought of that, I forgot to ask the main question, will I have to kiss him? And do I have to be intimate with him?
The words halt in my mouth when his face bends to meet mine, his breath is minty and hot on my face, my breath hitches in my throat, and I can't almost breathe, he moves closer, my eyes closing in response and his soft lips meet with mine, his mouth mesh with mine and our lips intertwine in a dance.
My heart drums louder in my chest, how can I not fall in love with a man who captures my soul so easily?
He steps back grabbing my hand in his and shares a small smile with me “Hello Wife”
“Hello husband” I whisper, I almost feel like I'm in a happy marriage but those thoughts come to a halt when we are seated across his parents and brother, my entire form changed since we had to sign the marriage certificate.
He took me to a saloon and boutique and the rest is history, my blonde hair which is usually matted is combed down in flowy curls and cut, and my face which has not touched makeup in years is touched up with makeup and a red lip, a red dress hugging my figure.
“What?” I say out loud again at his mother's sudden manifestation
“Are you ready for the baby?” she frowns deeply at me, every woman married into the Grey family must provide a child within two years of marriage or did Caspain not tell you that small detail gold digger” She rolls her eyes
“Mother!!” Caspian abolishes her turning to face me with a look of innocence but something tells me he knew about this clause, he deceived me into this marriage.
