745 Words
Diana POV “What isn't it true? Didn't you marry him for his wealth child?” she stands up anger coursing through her “At least you should have had the decency of marrying him in front of his family” “Mother I said that is enough” Caspain yells standing up along with her “I will not take you insulting my wife, not now, not ever” he points at her “Caspain!!” she yells back her eyes welling with tears, she turns to the older man on the table, glasses hanging off his eyes, he looks like he doesn't want to be added to this situation “Caspain apologize to your mother” he raises a brow at him, turning to the second younger man on the table, Gabriel as he introduced himself earlier, Caspain's brother. “Gabriel, tell your mother she needs to respect my choices and accept my new wife, she is now Mrs. Grey and there's nothing she can do about it, I won't accept her insulting my wife, insulting her means insulting me” he raises a defiant brow in his mother's direction where her fake tears have dried up. Her face morphs into anger, “I didn't bring you into this world to insult me Caspain” “It is not an insult mother, how would you feel I grandma did this to you when dad married you, you do not come from the richest or the most noble background either” he turns away grabbing my family wrist in his while I sit there in shock watching them argue “Caspain” I whisper, “I don't think you should be fighting with your mother” I cough, turning to her, although I'm hurt by her words, it's not far from the truth, I did marry him for money, but only on his request, I didn't deceive him into the marriage. “Even while you insult her, she still supports you, Mother you will have to accept my wife, or disown me” he pulls me to his side, standing watching his mother's face move from anger to a sad one. “Caspian I think that's enough, your mother is just overwhelmed about missing the wedding” his father speaks calmly, “we can always arrange another one” he nods “Yes we can always have a bigger wedding later,” Gabriel says trying to get a hold of his mother's hand. “I don't want one” Caspain shakes his head in defiance, “I have always been a quiet person and this is how I want to live my life, even the general public knows nothing about what I look like, I am not interested” he turns away “Diana, let us go” he grabs my arm pulling me toward the doors leaving his mother a crying mess We step outside the ancestral home while I stand there in shock at what just happened and then I remember the Heir part “You lied to me” I turn to him my eyes narrowed in anger. “I omitted” he raises a finger at me, “I didn't lie, I wanted to tell you when we were more comfortable with each other” he halts, “I’m sorry for not saying anything earlier Diana and I hope you have it in your heart to forgive me” he steps closer to me making my heart flutter in my chest “I... I stutter turning away, “What's the point, you already deceived me into signing the contract, I'll have to be intimate with you and bear you an heir, that's a huge Omission” I turn back to him, my forehead meeting with his chest in a pang. I step back my forehead squeezed in a frown, anger coursing through my veins, “I Don't think I can do this anymore,” I pace, nervousness and anxiety taking control “Here” he grabs my hand, “Dont be scared Diana” he grabs my fingers in his cool ones, his eyes meeting with mine, the entire world stops at that moment, his eyes move to my lips, and my heart pumps wildly in my chest, “Diana” he leans forward, his lips hovering over mine as his breath fans my face. My breath hitch in my throat and the door is pushed open “Caspain”
