Prologue

Hi! My name is Peter Johnston. I am a 21-year-old student at Evergreen College. My closest friends are Harry Osborn, Gwen Stacy, and Michelle Jones. I am a vigilante. I am known as Arachnite. Don't laugh; that's how I got my powers. I don’t want to brag, but I will. I now save the planet with the Noveas. It's not a big deal; it's not like they're a group of exceptional people with superpowers, and working with them is like a dream come true.

Nonetheless, I have a lover named Wade Thompson, whom the Noveas despise to no extent. He is a mercenary known as the Viper. He is 23, and he does not attend college, but that is fine. He is quite sensitive about his appearance, so please don't say anything about it; otherwise, he will definitely murder you.

My life is the best, and you're probably wondering how I got here, how I gained my powers, how and why I'm dating a mercenary even though I was straight before he came into my life, and how my life is so perfect for a superhero.
