RECONCILIATION
The following day, Chief Bobagunwa was in the chamber of his lawyer, Mr. Gani Abimbola. Gani had been the lawyer of the Chief for several years and over the years, they had become quite close like brothers and many of Gani’s friends were also the Chief’s friends. After the exchange of pleasantries, the Chief told Gani Abimbola that he was there to amend his will.
“Since the sole beneficiary of the Will, Sunbo, is dead, I want her name removed from my Will and replaced with the name of the new beneficiary.”
“Who is the new beneficiary?” asked the lawyer, looking for a file in the filing cabinet.
“The name is Mary Ferguson Ndubuisi”
The lawyer looked up in surprise “Mary Ferguson Ndubuisi? Is that not the name of the daughter of Emeka Ndubuisi, the Police Commissioner?”
