-Ashes- I hoped I had done the right thing. By giving her family back, I hoped she would see me differently, that she would forgive me, and we could move on. Gods, I needed us to move on. I needed her like I needed air to breathe. I knew I was doing this for selfish reasons, but I never claimed to be good. I never claimed to be good for her. I was selfish, and I took what I wanted. It was how I had been raised. Unfortunately, it seemed I couldn’t take, when it came to Laelia. I needed her to want me too. I needed her to come to me and say she had forgiven me. She smiled so happily, tears streaming down her cheeks as her brothers surrounded her. I didn’t like how they blocked my view of her, but I stayed still. She needed this time with them. She needed to realize they were really here.
