4) Never Gonna

1097 Words
A bell rings out across the room, startling us all, me jumping and the others turning to face the noise. It couldn't be lunch already?     It's been about six hours since the entourage found me this morning and about four hours since we met (that was one long walk from the border to the office) and since we started talking. Actually, that's a lie; it's more of them trying to coax me into talking. That short blip in me over talking about my family occurred in the first hour with them and after mentions of my twin made me clam up again.     The noise of the bell wasn't the only sound that rang out. My stomach did as well. Angele chuckles, picking me up from my position on Angelo's lap and settling me into a koala position as they walk towards the door.          Angeli starts to cook something up in the kitchen. And in two seconds flat of me getting it, the food is devoured. I can't even recall what it was. I think a soup of some kind, with dumplings and aloo?     You that feeling when you get good food in your stomach you spill like a leaky pipe? Yeah, that happened to me.     Angela leading the charge rapidly fires the same questions from earlier. "How old are you? What species are you? When is your birthday? Where are your pack and family? Why are you rouge?"     This time I give them all the answers they want.     "I am eighteen, Sin Race, March 19 or yesterday, they are where they were before I left, and I am a rouge because that is too personal- give me some time, please."     Thankfully they agreed with waiting- however it didn't stop them from asking where to find them to check on my twin sister.     Looking around, I start aimlessly pointing out things in the kitchen. "Whoa, that's a big peacock glass plate! It's so pretty! And that's a lot of cereal. Ooh, Honey Bunches and Honey Cheerios, my favorite!" A throat clears; I stop my staring at the pristine kitchen and refocus on them. They mimic the same look in their own unique selves; you know that look. The one that is an eyebrow raised and arms crossed a mixture of amusement and something else.     "Yes?" Squeak, squeak, is there a mouse; no, that's my voice.     Angelo chuckles, and Angela gives him the side-eye. Then, Angele repeats in a 'you better answer me' tone, "Little One, where can we find your twin?"          My mind immediately went blank from that new pet name. "I- I- I cannot compute."     Can you believe the audacity? They start laughing at me, pouting. I give a little glare. Angele noticing first slows down and winks.     Huffing, I respond, "Blood Life Pack."     This stills the mood. With the amount of both rumors and truths that come from that pack, I am not surprised. They were given the title Blood-Life because of how bloody and violent the pack was that they could not imagine any life surviving.     "Yes, that Blood-Life Pack. And I guess you know a puzzle piece of why I went Rouge."     Angeli comes up to me and wraps her long arms around my waist, resting her head on my shoulder. Nuzzling into me and taking in my scent. Now I am a little scared that they will break the bond.     Angela, next steps up directly in front of me and pecks my forehead. "Thank goodness you made it out of that pack." She then rests her forehead on mine.     Angelo breaks up this moment, whatever it was, by saying, "So you're a Sin? Angel or Devil?" All the whilst giving me a devilish smile.     Releasing my wings, gasps surround me. And I accidentally knocked down Angeli, who gives me a pout. Reaching down, I grab her reaching arms and try to pull her up, but my noodle arms aren't pulling anything.     She chuckles at my attempts before pulling me down onto her lap gently. Then the attack begins. Who knew tickles could be so torturous. I laugh as tears roll down my cheeks. "My little Angel." Angeli chimes before stopping so I could catch my breath.     Breathing normally, my voice quivers, "I think you guys are the Angels."     "That's only because our mom thought we were gonna be Angels, but we are Devils." On the word Devils, they released their wings—the beautiful black shade complementing their skin tones perfectly. I reach out to Angela, who joined us on the floor and petted her wings.     "So my Angels are really Devils, huh." Smiling and feeling safe, I must have lost control of my mouth.     "You don't hate us, right?" Angelo fidgets his hands. One of the Big Bad Alphas are worried that I hate them? That cannot be-      Roughly shaking my head, "Why would I hate you? You are perfect. Our powers complement each other perfectly, don't you think? But what about you? Don't you hate me? I'm weak, ugly, and come from that pack..." I trail off questioning when I became such a Chatty Cathy.     Now, it's Angelo's turn to protest. Coming towards me, he grasps my hands, "Angel, we could never hate you, and you aren't ugly. In fact, you are beautiful. In fact, never think of yourself that way. You are our perfect Angel."     Overwhelmed at the fact that someone called me beautiful, my body freezes but that commanding tone drew me in and caused my body to respond in the shape of a timid nod.     "So now that we all agree we're perfect and no one hates the other and that our beautiful mate loves us and knows she's sexy," Angele gives a wink, "let us talk about our other potential mate."     "What's there to talk about? I have a twin. She is at the pack I left, and that's that."     "You know that it isn't just that. She may be our mate. We need to know, think about if there was one more of us and you hadn't met them, and there is that potential for the mate bond." Angela's voice almost pleading. Pleading me to do what? Understand? No, because of the pain and abuse they put me through, I could never understand.     "What are you waiting for? You know she is at that pack. You can go without me." I glare defiantly at the floor. "I'm never gonna go back there."     The next thing I know, the world goes dark, and in my final moments of consciousness, the words "never gonna" leave my lips chanting.
