Life's full of surprises.
And that's exactly what I stood in the middle of, one giant, awful surprise.
"Look how disgusted he is by you." Damon said, smirking at Carlisle's expression. It was one of complete, utter horror. And the pain that followed, the pain of knowing Carlisle was going to leave me.
Me, the unwanted vampire monster.
"No one will ever love you the way I did, princess." Damon snarled.
Tears filled my eyes, and as I slowly looked away a feral growl ripped through the silence.
