Honestly, I never imagined it.

When I first chose Lex, I thought I'd been so careful. A little discreet research had painted the perfect picture, low-key, no social media trail of conquests, no tabloid gossip.
The kind of man who indulged without attachment. Chloe had laughed over drinks one night, rolling her eyes. "Men like that? They're always surrounded by beautiful women. Girlfriends come and go like seasons. Who dumps whom is never certain, they just move on."
