I froze and stared Marcus down. As much as I want to interrogate these girls further I just can't risk Bella's life. I have my limits. Begrudgingly, I motion for Dex to put Mika down. He does as I tell him and I say, "Throw her."
He throws Mika towards the twin Alphas and they growl in response. But when they try moving her limp body, their expressions turn grim. "What did you do to her?"
I smirk pacifically, glad I got under their skin. "I paralyzed her"
It didn't surprise me when he had me pinned against the couch, a large hand tightening on my neck. I didn't gasp, wheeze, or struggle. This seemed to infuriate him even more. I yawned lazily and with a flick of my hand, I shoved him way back. I stood upright and brushed fake dust off my shoulders.
