Chapter 2

{Victoria} "Thanks for being my uber," James grins. I roll my eyes and roll up the window, staring at the horizon. The landscape here is amazing. My camera would take great pictures of this. "Hey James, do they have any extracurricular activities at Harvard?" I ask, heading out of the driveway.  "You mean clubs?" I nod my head. "Yeah, there's photography club, robotics, and dance, unfortunately, it isn't considered a sport so it is a club as well. Why? You interested in any?" "Bingo. I want to do anything that perks my interest so I can keep my wolf fit and active as well as live my last year of school to the maximum level," I reply without missing a beat. "At this rate, you'll end up beat," He laughs and throws his head back. "And why is that?" I ask curiously. "Because there is only one girl that does all the things you want to do and she excels at all of them." I tap my chin and he continues. "But I have faith in you." "Is she another Alpha?"  "Nope. An omega, Ashlyn. Took her three years to get to where she is now. You know, gaining the respect of everybody. They idol her but she doesn't let it go to her head." I smile. "I can't wait to meet her." I turn the corner and the University of Harvard appears before my sight. It takes my breath away and James grins with pride. "That," he points to a huge skyscraper and a petite building on the side. "Is where the Business department is located." "It's enormous! Which one is building A?" I park in the huge lot right in front of the Business department.  "The huge skyscraper, only the best of the best of Busines study there." He pauses and grins toothily. "Like me." I roll my eyes and climb out of the vehicle. I grabbed my sports bag and swing it on my shoulder. Volleyball tryouts just happened to be today. I grab my other small bag and swing it on my other shoulder. "A couple warnings here, Vicky." "Warnings," I drawl out. "There are three Alphas in this college already," he says. I fold my arms over my chest, studying the building where the Alphas were supposed to already be in. "Ace, Asher, and Alec. They're the sons of your neighboring pack's Alpha back in California. Also, we're an hour late for when college is supposed to start but the director knows your state." I shiver at the name of the three Alphas. I try to compose myself and fix my jelly legs, thankfully James pulled me out of my state waving a hand in my face. "Hey! Vicky, I have to drop off your sports bag at the gym." I inhale deeply and fix my composure. "Where's that?" he then points to another huge building about four blocks away from the Business department. "Um, I'll go with you." He shakes his head. "No. I have to drop the bag off, an omega, Rowena, will take you to your classes. She has the same schedule as you." "But I don't want to treat as a slave." I frown but he shrugs it off. "Alphas orders," he says and I realize that his pack Alpha designated him to that one special task. I wave goodbye to him as he heads over to the gym. I sigh and enter the skyscraper. The cool air hits my bare legs- needless to say, I don't regret wearing my light blue romper. It hugs my body comfortably and has short-sleeved with a black belt in the middle. I approached the front desk and asked the secretary. "Excuse me? Hi, I'm Victoria. You know if Rowena is around?" The lady nodded hurriedly and I frown in confusion. She must've confused my frown with impatience because she blurts, "West Wing, First Floor, study area!" I say 'thank you' and read the signs above my head. West Wing study area is a corner's turn from where I was at. As I walked I began to map out the area in my head. Everything was so elegant; from the walls to the littlest grain of dust. Not that I spotted any dust anywhere. The study area was huge but when I sniffed the air I smelled only one omega in the area. I approached a petite girl about my age with glasses dressed casually. "Hi, are you Rowena?" I watch as she gulps. "Yes, and I'm assuming you are Alpha Victoria?" she fiddles around with her books and I smile at her. Omegas have a tendency to fear Alphas. "Yep, lead the way," I motion to the are vehemently and she immediately stands straight up. "At your command, Alpha Victoria," she says and at this everyone turns there heads at me and began whispering. I wasn't sure if they were good or bad so I only glared at them. "Please, just call me Vicky," I sigh and she hesitates before nodding and commencing the trek. "Okay, so your first class is Ethics. I know because it's my first class." She seems like she wants to say something but stays silent. Before I know it we were up in a crammed elevator but everyone, including Rowena, kept their distance from me and stayed in the far corner. I secretly curse powerful aura around me that clearly everyone notices. So much for making friends. If anything, only betas, third in commands, and the Alphas might befriend me. The Alpha Triplets. Born five months prior to me. They were the talk of all the packs in the area right before I a female Alpha was born. Alpha daughters are pretty so I was a miracle for me and Isabella to be born. The Alpha Triplets belong to our neighboring pack, Blood Moon. I've only caught a glimpse of them in Fifth grade. I remembered when they strained their necks to see me as I entered the cafeteria.  Like I said, being a hybrid mix because of my parents and a daughter of an Alpha then I was surrounded by guards. I pray for Isabella to survive dad's protectiveness in High School. The Blood Moon pack's Luna also gave birth to two twin Alpha's four months before my Bella. Or as my dad calls her 'Baby Bella'.  Ding! The elevator snapped me out of my thoughts. Rowena scrambled out before me and said hurriedly, "The orange door is our Ethic's class." I examined it and was about to open it but Rowena stopped me. "I got this." I was about to protest but she opened the door and I'm pretty sure my power was felt because everyone stopped chattering. I put on a neutral face and wished to teleport myself from here as I felt like a prized piece in a museum. Thank you mom for the genes! My siblings and I all inherited her abilities as well as being able to morph as a fox and wolf. I took my first step in but then I sniffed the air. Cinnamon and sugar. I swear I almost drooled in front of the entire class. Rowena had already scampered off, not wanting to be in the spotlight. My eyes covered everywhere before landing on one specific person. But man, did he look like some greek god reincarnated. But, he also gave off an authoritative aura. He looked cute and hot at the same time with his glasses.  He gawked at me but I frowned and turned away to face the teacher. Damn, I never expected to find my mate in college. I immediately retracted my scent so that it couldn't be smelt. Thanks, mom!  The professor spoke first. "I see you are a new student. I'm Professor Valderick, you?" I was about to respond but he cut me off. That was disrespectful to my Alpha side and I narrowed my eyes at him. "Oh wait, I have an important call to attend to!" I studied him and the tension in the room. They were all werewolves and I'm pretty positive they knew of my existence but felt excited to see the protected princess of Alpha Davis for the first time. But once the professor spoke the excitement dissipated. That's when it hit me. He was putting me to the test to see if I would lash out violently for disrespectfully. Clearly he doesn't know who I am but either way, I won't give him what he wants. I smiled sweetly yet it held mischief. "No need, professor. I am Victoria Davis-Adler and it was a pleasure to meet you." The professor paled, obviously horrified that he daringly spoke in that manner to a rare hybrid Alpha's daughter. Oh, Isabella, are you in for a treat when the world sees you. I pranced off, happy that I passed the test but there were only two vacant seats left. One behind my mate and one next to him, both in the corner. He gulped and tugged at his shirt collar. He was a shy mate. Most likely shy and nerdy. Cute. I sat right next to him and released my scent because it was tiring to do. I watched as he tensed and began to fan himself slowly with his notes.  "Victoria?" The professor called out and I tore my eyes away from my mate.  I shook my head disapprovingly and the professor paled again. Probably thinking I was going to send him to hell. Since when did I become so scary?  "Please, professor, I prefer Vicky." My mate tensed again and he blushed profusely. Yep, definitely the sky kind. The professor spoke again. "You're trying for volleyball, correct?" I nodded and he continued. "It's been scheduled earlier now. 9:30 til 2:30." I looked up at the clock. 9:00. I never expected for volleyball tryouts to cover my classes. My school day lasts from 8:00 to 3:00. Everyone's did. "Okay, I'll head over now." I gathered up my stuff and the class continued as the professor talked about insider trading. I walked out of the classroom quickly and silently. The hallway before me had couches on the sides. I was about to teleport out but a hand grabbed my wrist, sending sparks flying over my body. I whirled around and found my mate placing my chapstick in my palm. Damn! I forgot about it in the classroom. My legs wobbled as my body buzzed. "Um, you left this," he says, rubbing his neck shyly. I smile at him. "Thanks." we stood there for a good three minutes before we broked our gaze. He towered over me at a good 6'3 so I stood on my tippy toes and gave him a peck on the cheek. "Bye." And so I teleported away, leaving him stunned and longing my touch again.
