JoJo pushed through the wooden door into his bar. A sickly wall of dull cigarette smoke hit him, followed by the hard stench of sweat and human warmth. Loud dance music thumped from the speakers in the wall, rattling his bones. The lights, turned down low, were shot through with purple and pink spotlights isolating from the ceiling. He wove through a maze of bodies, clad in nightwear, corduroy, and velour. Simone and Dominica followed behind him, trying to keep up. Someone saw him. "Hey, JoJo!" JoJo ignored them, making his way to the bar. Barry was mixing a black and tan. JoJo slid into a stool at the bar and stared daggers at Barry. Simone and Dominica stood on either side of him.
