Chapter Seven - A Wish Again

I screamed when Flynn went limp, he crumpled to the floor. I fell into Hollance's arms, he lifted my chin, I spit blood all over him. He squeezed the sides of my jaw and kissed me. I ripped away. "This will be so much more fun now." He whispered. I coughed and looked down at Flynn. I was crying, Hollance turned around to Zachary who pulled a g*n on him. 

Hollance stepped backwards into me, I closed my eyes. "Zachary what are you doing?" Hollance asked. "I have listened to you tell me what to do, for so long. I never get anything in return. I will get something this time, walk away or I pull the trigger." Zachary said. 

"You can't be serious, for her!" Hollance pointed at me. "Yeah, look at her. Now leave or I put a bullet in your pretty little skull." Zachary said. I looked around for anything, I turned on the walkie-talkie. Chief Williams would hear it, I knew that much. "Zachary you don't have to do this." Hollance argued. 

"Go!" Hollance nodded and kissed me again, I bit him. He slapped me and shoved Zachary out of the way. "Finally, some alone time." Zachary walked off. A gunshot went off, Zachary hit the floor too. Hollance smiled from the sidewalk. 

"Sorry buddy, no way was I letting her slip away with you." Hollance closed my door. I watched him walk around the cruiser and climb into the driver's seat. I swallowed and looked at him, he grabbed my hand and squeezed it. 

"You just killed your brother in front of hundreds of people. You won't get away with this." I said. "I think I will. But you need help. I know a friend who works in the church, he was a doctor." Hollance backed up the cruiser, I coughed. "Just hold on." He said. 

When we were straight on the road, he floored the gas. I put my head back, my eyes were slowly fluttering close. "Hey!" I snapped them open, Hollance glared at me. "You can sleep when you're dead. I'm going to marry you, and sign a contract to take over the company. I need you alive." He yelled. 

"Well in that case." I unseatbelted and threw the door open. A car took it off then swerved in front of us. Hollance slammed on the brakes, I was sent face first into the dashboard, then I fell out. I closed my eyes and wished. I really really wish I could save Flynn. I hit the road. 

I woke up gasping in pain. I touched my head, I died. I knew it. I looked around for Hollance, the shower in the bathroom was on, I climbed off Hollance's bed in my underwear and b*a. I ran towards the door. I opened it up and looked around for Zachary or their sister. I skipped down the stairs as quickly as I could.

I ran for the door and opened it, Flynn was coming. I ran and jumped in his arms. He spun me around, and I kissed him. "Get in your car right now, I'll call Chief Williams." I said. He stared at me in shock. "I forgive you Flynn okay. I love you and I want you and only you." I said and pulled him towards his car. “What’s happening.” He said and looked at me.

"Just listen to me. Hollance is going to kill you. I know you go to apologize and I love you for it. We have to leave, I just killed myself, so please trust me. I blew myself up and I hurt Ev." I got in the driver's seat, Flynn got in the passenger's seat.

I kissed Flynn from over the middle counsel. He was so confused, I could feel it. I didn't really care. "You're the son of an amazing war hero. He loved you so much and Chief Williams was his best friend. You are also really hot in a button up shirt." I smiled at him. “So you went back in time again.” He said and looked at me. 

"I… yes. I didn't want to marry Hollance or never see you again. I'm in the past right now, and we need to leave." Chief Williams walked out. I got out of the car and waved him over. I ducked down when Hollance walked out. Flynn crouched in the seat, I opened the side door. 

"Whose car is that?" Hollance asked. "I don't know, some junkie. The keys are still in. Let me drive it out of here. Good luck finding Millicent, I'm pretty sure she mentioned going to the boutique." Chief Williams walked over. "Thank you Chief." Hollance said. 

I stared at him, his eyes filled with hatred and evil. As Chief Williams got in, we both closed our doors. I laid down in the back seat as he started up the car and drove. He followed the speed limit, I sat up, so did Flynn. "What is going on Millicent? Who is this?" Chief William. "This is Flynn, he killed my parents, I know it sounds bad, but listen." I said. 

"I went back in time, twice. First to save my evil parents, turns out, I really like Flynn, and we killed each other's parents. Zachary and Hollance with my parents, selling illegal weapons and stuff, Flynn was trying to stop them. Hollance is twenty-nine and trying to force me to marry him so he can take over the company." 

"Flynn's father fought with you in the war, he saved hundreds of lives. Tseria. That's his name, Flynn is an amazing person and I love him. I need your help." I finished and stared at Chief Williams. "Okay, I'll help, but pretend you didn't mention 'time travel'." He said. I smiled and hugged him. 

"Thank you, we need to get to the airport, and you have to come back and save Evanessa. She's in the attic… no nevermind go back." I said. Chief Williams stopped the car. "We have to save her, she loves England." I said. Flynn looked at me, "It was your idea." I said. Chief Williams called Hollance. 

"Hey what's up?" He asked. "Millicent called, she wants you to meet her at State Park, she has a surprise. Evelyn drove her." He waited for a response. "Okay, well I hope she's ready, I have a surprise too." He said. 

I swallowed and took a deep breath, Hollance's truck drove past us. Chief Williams turned us around and went back. "Okay their sister is inside, she's crazy." I said, Flynn pulled out a g*n. Chief Williams snatched it from his hands. "I have a taser." He said. “A g*n does the same.” Flynn said.

"Tasers don't kill people. We get Evanessa together and take you to the airport." Chief Williams said and got out. I got out and hugged Flynn, he put his chin on my head. "I love you." I whispered, he rubbed my back. “Love you too.” He said and kissed me.

"When I'm eighteen or older I'll marry you." I said and kissed him. Chief Williams looked inside of a window. something crashed and he opened the front door. "Look at that, you're amazing." I said and ran in. I ran upstairs and went to the door. "Ev, I know you're in there. Is there a bomb, guns, something that would hurt you?" I asked. 

She screamed, it was muffled, I cracked open the door. There was nothing in the room. I swallowed and walked over to her, she sighed with relief when I ripped the take off her mouth. "Thank god you're here. Has Hollance lost his mind?" She asked, I helped her get free. She hugged me and smiled. 

"What is the hot mailman doing here?" She asked. Flynn chuckled. "He's my boyfriend." I said and pulled her along. "What? No!" She exclaimed. We ran outside and I practically shoved her into the car. Chief Williams came running. We all got in and he floored the gas. "Chief whats wrong?" I asked. 

"He set an alarm. We just tripped it, we have to leave." He said. I looked back at my house. I swallowed and looked at Flynn. "Are you serious? About you two?" Ev asked. I smiled, "He saved my life, more than once." I said. “Yeah and we went back in time, I love her.” He said. 

"Isn't that sweet. I'll meet a cute boy, a British boy who gives me roses." She put her head on my lap. I giggled and stared at Flynn, I wanted to kiss him, maybe more than that. He looked forward and put his head back. 

"You'll want to give yourself new names. Not the same ones, let me hear them." Chief Williams said. I swallowed, "Um… Gwenestine Coves." I said. Flynn looked at me. "Paris Dodd." Ev said, Flynn was thinking. “Bob?” He asked. 

"Gwenestine and Bob? What's your last name?" I asked, he laughed. “I dont know.” He said and smiled. "You don't know. Well Bob Coves sounds… you really want me to call you Bob?" I asked. “No, John.” He said and laughed. "I can call you John." I said and smiled. "John Coves and his wife, Gwenestine." I said. 

"I have the ring to prove it." I said. Chief Williams pulled onto the freeway, I closed my eyes and put my head on the window. I slowly fell asleep. 

I woke with Flynn shaking me, I blinked. "What?" I asked, he pulled me out of the car, I wrapped my arms around him. "I'm tired." I mumbled. "Sleep on the plane." Ev snapped. I stood up and leaned on Flynn. "Come on." Chief Williams said. We followed him towards the building, I held Flynn's hand. 

"Are you excited?" I asked, he looked at me, then put one arm over my shoulder, pulling me closer. “To go to England, yes.” He said and smiled. "To stay with me for as long as it takes and more?" I asked. Chief went to buy the tickets, Flynn guided me over to a food vendor. I smiled smelling cinnamon buns and coffee. He pulled out his wallet. 

“Want food.” He asked and kissed me. "Yes, desperately." I giggled. He let me go and walked to the counter. I looked at some sunglasses on a stand and pins. Ev was walking around looking at vending machines, she was filling a bag with stuff. 

I smiled as Flynn came over with a big cinnamon roll and a cup of hot coffee. He had the same thing. I walked with him to a seat and sat down. I eagerly started eating my cinnamon roll, Chief Williams came over with Ev, she was eating an assortment of stuff. "Okay here are you tickets, your flight leaves in an hour. Goodbye." He kissed my head and I hugged him. 

"Thank you for everything. I won't forget it, when I come back I'll have a party. You saved me." I said, he hugged me back. "Okay kiddo, see you in a month or two tops." He said and walked out. I sat back down and looked at Flynn. 

"Well John, looks like we'll need an apartment." I said, he smiled. “Yeah. I don't know how to buy one.” He said. "You usually rent not buy, but it's a start." I giggled, he pulled me onto his lap, I stared at him. "Too bad we're not alone." I whispered, he kissed me. "What kind of apartment do you want? I was raised around this kind of stuff." I said, he sipped his coffee. 

“Just a normal apartment.”He said and smiled. "Normal? So one big place cramped together with no walls?" I asked. He shook his head. "Then we'll need a big one. Two bathrooms, two… or three bedrooms, a living room, space to do stuff." I said. 

"How many bedrooms?" I asked, he stared at me. “Two. why three.” He asked and took a bite out his cinnamon bun. I smiled and put my head against his, he smiled. I laid my head down and smelled his hair. "I figured three if we weren't going to share. You obviously don't mind." I whispered. He moved his head a little to look at me. 

"I usually only wear my underwear and b*a to bed." I teased, he smiled. "Stop grossing me out." Ev said. I laughed and took a bite of my cinnamon roll. “How are we doing that.” He asked. "Um… kissing. I don't want to hear you whispering about the same bed either. Can we go to the bathroom?" Ev asked. 

"Yes." I answered, she stood up and grabbed my hand. "Come on, you are coming too, so is Flynn. Just in case something happens." She said. I finished my cinnamon roll and pulled Flynn along. We all walked to the bathroom, Flynn waited outside the girls bathroom. 

I walked in and looked in the mirror, I didn't have to use the bathroom. My red hair was a mess, my makeup was old, and my clothes too. I swallowed and put my hair in the sink. I combed it with my fingers, then used the dryer. I smiled and threw water on my face, wiping away my makeup. I dried my face and smiled. 

"You look better." Ev said, I chuckled and put my head back. "Yeah, I guess. I'll need clothes in England, I have my own money, unless they froze the account, I'll have to ask Chief." I said and walked out. I smiled at Flynn, he grabbed me and pulled me closer. I giggled.

"What now, we sit here and wait for an hour?" I asked. "Yep." Ev said and walked over to our seats. "Can we at least find a bench, I wanna lie down." I said. Flynn walked me to a seat and put me on his lap. He put my feet on the chair and let me rest my head on his shoulder. I passed out soon after that. 

I was woken up being lightly shook, Flynn picked me up and walked with me. I yawned and rubbed my eyes. "What?" I asked. "Our flight." Ev said. I patted Flynn, he set me down and we walked to the gate. 

We got through, I looked back and noticed Hollance and Zachary. I ducked and grabbed Flynn's sleeve. He noticed them too, we stayed in front of people, trying not to be seen. Ev was hugging my arm. "Next!" The woman was talking to us. We gave her our tickets and got on. I rushed to my seat and sat down. 

Flynn sat next to me and rubbed my thigh, Ev was across us. "What if he saw us?" I asked, Flynn shook his head. “He didn't.” He said. "I'm scared Flynn. He killed you without blinking an eye, he killed his brother." I covered my face. 

"What if he…" Ev grabbed my hand. "He doesn't know anything." She said. I nodded and held Flynn's hand. A group of people got on, I watched as the plane filled up. Flynn didn't stop holding my hand. I wouldn't let it go. 

The doors closed, Hollance wasn't anywhere to be found, I relaxed and fell asleep not long after that. I remember crying, tossing and turning in my seat, I had nightmares the whole time, they didn't go away. I was scared out of my mind that Hollance would find me, that he would kill me, and Flynn.

After nine hours Flynn woke up Millicent and kissed her. "Hey wake up, we're here." Flynn said and smiled. Her nose twitched as she kissed him back. "I feel better, mostly. I was able to sleep, no nightmares, that was only for a little while." She said and stretched. 

Ev was already awake, just watching some movies. Millicent stood up, people were already getting off the plane. "Are you excited?" Millicent asked. "Yes, what will it look like?" Flynn asked, reaching for Millicent's hand. "What will what look like? England? Well I hear it is gorgeous, with buildings and people. Good food." Millicent was teasing him. They walked off the plane. Millicent bit her lip excitedly. 

"Should we get an apartment first?" Flynn asked. "Yes and clothes. We need to sleep somewhere, we could get a hotel first for today." Millicent walked into the airport. All airports looked the same to Flynn. Ev followed behind Flynn and looked at everything. "Okay sounds like a plan." Flynn said.

"Come on." Millicent pulled Flynn along quickly. Millicent looked around at papers, grabbed things and paid for things. She had a map, then started circling hotels, restaurants, and shopping areas. "Food first, the clothes, and the hotel." She said and stood back up. "We need a cab." Millicent handed Flynn a piece of paper. 

"Call them, I have to use the bathroom." Millicent kissed Flynn's cheek and ran towards the bathroom. Ev stood with him and smiled. "Do you have a phone?" Flynn asked. "Yeah, always. Who leaves their phone when they travel the country?" She asked. 

She took the piece of paper. "So you… and Millicent are serious? Like sharing a bed and everything? She's still a minor. It's against the law and she's like, not over Hollance. They slept together, you'll be her second." Ev said. "She did?" Flynn asked and looked at her. 

"Yeah, she was upset about the breakup and her parents being killed. They did quite a number on his room and the bathroom. Look it's not for me to say, but I don't think you should be getting anywhere with her right now. You should let her figure herself out." She patted his back. 

"Don't push her too far, if she wants to, go slow." Ev said and smiled. Millicent came back smiling. "Do we have a cab?" She asked. "Calling them now." Ev said. Flynn stood there and waited for Ev to end the call, she put her phone away. "Are they coming?" Flynn asked, she nodded. "Yep. Just wait a little while." Ev stood there. Millicent stayed close to Flynn, smiling the whole time.
