He was still agitated by the time he returned home. Jake sat in the stuck for another moment before he quietly made his way into the house. He sat on the sofa and took off his shoes. He laid down and pulled the throw blanket from the back of the sofa over him. He did not want to risk going into the bedroom and waking up Maddie. She would be furious and ask a million questions. Jake just did not want to deal with her.
