Chapter 8

Damion's Point Of View

I woke up with a smile on my face as the morning sunlight slightly shone into the room and hit my face. I felt something pressing me down when I tried to sit up so as to check what time it was. I looked to my side to see what was pressing me down and I saw the sleeping beauty (Jane) snuggled against me.

The memories of the previous night came flooding back to me. I had fallen asleep last night with him wrapped in my arms. I turned on my side to look at him as he slept peacefully with a smile on his face as he snuggled closer to me. He's indeed a sleeping beauty, he's as beautiful as the morning star, as his sleeping face is like that of a newborn baby's own and when he's sleeping, and he's even more beautiful when he's not sleeping. He mumbled in his sleep and moved closer to me and I could feel his breath on my neck, which made my morning mood grow harder.

I pulled him closer to myself and took in his morning scent, which intioxicated me more than I already am. I checked the time on my phone and I saw that it was already 9 in the morning. I can't remember when I last slept for so long peacefully without even waking up sometime in the night. I didn't bother to wake him up since I had already decided that we were not going to school today. I relaxed back on the bed and continued to enjoy watching my sleeping beauty while he slept.

I can't begin to explain with words how I'm feeling right now. For the first time in my life, I woke up with someone snuggled against me with a smile on his face as if he was having the best dream of his life. The only people I have ever slept with in the same bed are my mom and Mike. But now I wake up with my mate beside me, who is so beautiful and adorable, so I have no other choice than to savor this moment as much as I can. After all, this is our first morning together as a couple.

I had gotten used to waking up alone having nothing except my pillows to cuddle to sleep and wake up with. But today I am not alone. There is indeed no other joy that is more than this. I was so lost in my thoughts when a thought suddenly popped into my head, I had to treat him right and well. Which means I have to shower him with so much love and care that he deserves, so why don't I bring him breakfast in bed?

With that in mind, I gently removed my arm that he used as a pillow from under his head and sat up on the bed, then I stood up and walked to the door and opened it gently, so as not to wake up. I walked down the stairs and i was met by my maid at the end of the steps.

"Good morning sir". She greeted me with a smile.

"Good morning Mirabel". I replied.

"Sir, I wanted to come and ask what you'd like to have for breakfast but I saw that you're not up yet and i didn't want to wake you". She said.

"It's OK, I'll make breakfast myself". I told her with a smile.

"Okay sir. Would you like me to help you with anything sir?". She asked.

"No, I'm good. When you are done with your work you can take the rest of the day off". I told her as I entered the kitchen and she was trailing behind me. I don't want anyone to be around us because I want to be alone with Jane.

"Okay sir. Thank you sir." She said and she left me alone in the kitchen.

I stood in the kitchen thinking of what to prepare for breakfast. I finally decided to make Scramble Toast and tea with a smoothie. I put on the apron and got to work. I suddenly remembered that he'd be needing more clothes to wear here, since I don't intend on letting him go out until after his heat. I signaled my bodyguards and they appeared immediately.

"Go and get me pairs of clothes, the same as yesterday's size and also get me some chocolates and different types of snacks". I ordered them and they left immediately. I decided to call Mike so as to let him know that I am okay, but that I won't be coming to class for a while because I know that he'll get worried if he doesn't see me at school today. I picked up my phone and dialed his number. He picked up after the third ring.

"Hey, My Alpha". Mike said teasingly, because he knew I didn't like being called that.

"Good morning dude". I greeted him, ignoring his teasing.

"Good morning pal. You're not in school yet? Aren't you having class this morning?". He asked

"I won't be at school for some days. I wanted to let you know". I informed him.

"Okay, but are you sure there's no problem you're getting me worried, or are there issues at the company?". He inquired worriedly.

"It's not about the company. I'll explain to you when I see you. But rest assured I'm okay and that all is well". I told him.

"Okay, I also have something to discuss with you". He said now, sounding serious.

"Is it something we can talk about now?". I asked him.

"No, I'll tell you when we meet". He said.

"Okay, then we'll talk later". I said.

"Okay bye". He said and ended the call.

I finished making breakfast and served it on a tray and removed the apron I was wearing before carrying the tray and headed upstairs. I opened the door and walked toward the lampstand so as to place the tray on it. I looked down at him since he was still sleeping. I smiled to myself as I sat on the bed and bent down to give him a peck on the lips. He steered in his sleep as I pecked him, which made me happy. I checked the time, and it was already 10:20am. So I decided to wake him up so that he could eat before the food gets cold.

"My love, wake up". I said as I shook him so as to wake him up. He turned on his other side to back me as he covered himself up with the bed cover and snuggled himself more to sleep.

"

"Let me sleep some more". He said to me from under the cover, which made me smile.

"It's already 10am in the morning". I said and that seemed to do the magic because he jumped to a sitting position instantly and face me.

"10am? Oh s**t! Why didn't you wake me up on time? And you're also not prepared yet or are you not having lectures today?". He was saying as he tried to get off the bed, but I held him down.

"Good morning to you too". I said to him as I pecked him on the lips.

"Good morning, but why didn't you wake me up early?". He asked with a frown.

"Calm down love". I said to him with a smile.

"Tell me, how can I be calm when we're both late for our classes?". He said, still struggling to get out of my grip on him.

"We're not going to school today and tomorrow. So calm down and relax". I informed him and I could see the surprise registered on his face.

"We're not? But why if I may ask". He said.

"Because of your heat. You shouldn't be around others for now, especially other Alphas". I said to him and he settled down and stopped struggling to get out of my grip.

"Oh! Okay, I guess you are right".He said disappointedly but understandably.

"I brought you breakfast". I said to him so as to distract him and lift up his mood.

"Really? Wow! Thanks". He said happily and took the tray as I handed it to him. I could see the happiness on his face as he took a huge bite of the scramble toast.

"Eat slowly love, I don't want you to choke". I said to him, smiling.

"This is delicious. Thank you". He said as he looked at me with a smile in his eyes which gave me butterflies in my stomach.

I was about to tell him that he didn't need to thank me when I heard a knock on the door and I stood up to see who it was. I opened the door and my bodyguard was standing outside with 2 bags which he handed over to me and bowed, then left immediately. I closed the door and walked back to bed and sat beside him while i placed the bags on the floor beside the bed. I watched him as he ate and I felt joy just watching him. He had a little food in the corner of his lips and I decided to help him, so I leaned closer to him and brought my mouth closer to his lips, which made him look up at me surprised at what I was doing. I kissed the side of his lips so as to remove the food. I removed it and sat back up. He looked down so as to avoid my eyes, but not before I saw him turn red from blushing.
