“Is there anything you’re even good at? How could you mess up this simple task?!” Mom yelled angrily.
She was currently raging and going off on me. To be clear, she’s been raining different insults on me for the past hour.
This was the reason I didn’t want to tell her that the plan had failed in the first place, but she kept asking. Then she got tired of asking and came to see me directly.
I couldn’t lie about what had happened and explained it to her just like it transpired.
“How could you let such a perfect opportunity slip? How could you do that?” She yelled louder. “This was the perfect time to kill that human.”
