Chapter12

Kyahs POV Josh showed me the way to the training grounds. When we arrived, I was witnessing my ideal playground. It was magnificent. There was a hand-to-hand combat arena, punching bags, a weight room, and a track. I felt at home here. There were people in a formation working on movements for mixed martial arts. Two people were in the arena sparring and multiple people in the weight room. It also looked like some juveniles were running the track looking rather tired. When everyone noticed Josh and I they stopped and stood at attention as a sign of respect. "At ease. Everyone, this is Kyah Wolfsong. She is here to witness our training today. I expect you to treat her with respect. You will learn more about her later today. Do not cross her because crossing her is crossing your Alpha." He put extra emphasis on the last part. "Sir, yes sir." They all said in unison. "Get to it. Its like any other day." Josh stated. They were dismissed to continue what they were doing. Their movements were robotic and stiff. I could tell they were muscled and fit but their movements seemed flawed. I moved on to the sparring ring. The two in the arena circled each other and got a feel for their opponents' movements. One was wearing nothing but red shorts and the other was wearing a white tank top and a pair of black shorts. The red shorts charged first and were very cocky, while the black shorts were on the defensive at first. Then he took the offensive and schooled the guy in the red shorts. "like what you see ma'am?" The black shorts guy said. "I think you could do better. Your movements are choppy and you're very readable." I told him honestly. "Like you could do any better miss priss." He was pissing me off now. I turned to Josh. "Josh who is this guy?" I asked. "He is our head warrior, Pax, and the guy he just took down is our second-best, Clayton, aside from the Alpha and I they are the toughest people in this pack." "Mind if i get in the arena for a stretch and maybe a can of kick ass. I think he needs a lesson or two on how to treat a lady." I told him. "By all means, be my guest." Josh had a knowing smile on his face. I stepped into the ring and looked at Clayton. "Get out of my ring Clayton this is between me and Pax." I walked confidently to the center of the ring and took my position. "Listen girly you don't want to go up against me. I don't hold back and i don't want to hurt you. Take your sexy butt back to the pack house kitchen where you belong. OK?" I was pissed and didn't wait for a go from Josh. I kicked him in the face hard and landed nimbly on my feet. I was loose and pissed off. I could feel the surge going through my blood. It sang to me a song of strength and violence. It was beautiful. I danced on the defense dodging his fists and i enjoyed it. I got bored after a while and he was wearing down so i decided to end it by catching his fist and flipping him over my should and putting him in an arm bar. He had no where to go. He tapped out. When we got up and i started walking away he came after me and i side stepped and gave him a strong swift kick in the butt causing him to fly. I was done with this guys attitude. I went to where he landed and punched him until Josh pulled me off. His face was bloodied and bruised. He had a broken nose and a black eye for sure. "Get this asshole out of my sight. No one disrespects me and walks away unscathed." I felt a surge of energy as i said this and everyone that had gathered around the arena during our fight bowed their heads including Josh. The only one who didn't bow was Ryan. "I am so glad you could make it, Mate." I put an emphasis on mate as i spoke to Ryan. "I see you have been busy, Kyah. I am glad i didn't have to step in. You are a battle goddess after all." He had a proud spark in his eye. "Lift your heads everyone and see your Luna for what she is a beautiful battle goddess and the one who helped save this pack during the last invasion. Her name is Kyah Wolfsong and she is Mine." I loved it when he called me his. I stood proud as everyone looked at me. Ryan looked at me with the most confident and loving face that i have seen. "Its time for us to have our talk, mate." Oh boy here we go. I followed him back to his office. I took a seat on the couch and he sat behind his desk. "I don't know where to start with all that i have been through." I told him. "We have time, I am not going anywhere. Start from the beginning." I could tell he was on nerve just like I was, yet he was trying to calm my nerves and putting my needs ahead of his own. Was this guy even real, like be still my beating heart. "Ok." I took a deep breath and began. "I was born in a little town in Wisconsin called Solon Springs. There wasn't much there. My family home was right across the pond and Lucious woods was my favorite place to go growing up. I was the only child. I left when I turned 16 and was recruited into the Institute. I haven't thought about going back since I left that town. I didn't have any friends and I was homeschooled, so i did not have any anchors. I never had anchors. Which made me perfect to recruit after my parents were killed. My time with the Institute, in my opinion, was the beginning of my life." I took another breath preparing for the next part of my story.
