Chapter Sixty-five: Gyam

. . . . . . (early June) He blinked in confusion for a moment before his gaze focused on my branded eye and panic rolled off of him in putrid waves as recognition struck him. "how?" His pathetic squeak almost made me laugh. A massive scar covered his neck, Aiden said he had torn his throat out. "I could ask the same, but I really don't care right now, you'll be dead again soon enough." I lunged as he opened his mouth again and pinned him against the wall, a long, curved knife in my hand and pressed against the side of his face. "I f*****g dare you to scream for help, Sir." He was smaller than I was, I noted, as he shivered with fear. "I'm not a helpless little boy anymore, Sir." I whispered to him as I trailed the knife slowly along his jaw, letting the blade draw a thin white line, but not quite breaking his skin. "I would like to take this opportunity to let you get to know the new me, what do you say?" His eyes were black as his wolf struggled against my grip, I pressed my thumb down firmly across his larynx and his movements quickly became sluggish. I waited until he was almost unconscious before I flung him across the room, picking up the ball gag I'd pulled out of one of the drawers. He was staggering to his feet when I punched him swiftly in the back of the neck. His body jerked spastically, I grabbed his hair and yanked him onto his knees. His reflexive yelp gave me the opportunity I needed to jam the hard rubber ball into his mouth, his pained whimper was muffled as I tightened the buckle behind his head. "Slaves aren't allowed to talk, remember?" I punched him back down to the floor, someone was pounding on the door. I picked up a bone saw and tossed back the bolt abruptly, the door crashed open, and the Hunter stumbled with the sudden movement. I spun as I swung the bone saw, its momentum carving cleanly through his neck, though it did get stuck in his vertebrae. I grunted at the shock that took over the Hunter's face and kicked his corpse out of the way and shut the door again. "Are we going to be interrupted again?" Sir's eyes were rolled back in his head, and he was drooling around the obstruction forcing his jaws open, but he managed a terrified shake of his head. I nodded and grabbed the gag's strap, hauling him to a chain on the wall. I clipped the chain in a tight loop around his neck. "Now you be a good boy and wait while I take care of my Alpha." Tears were streaming down his face, pathetic f*****g wolf. I scoffed and turned to Aiden. He was watching me silently, his body was still limp, his expression blank. I unfastened the straps holding him carefully, adjusting him to drape his weight onto me as he was freed. I grunted slightly as I lifted him and carried him to the table, kicking the corpses on the floor out of my way. It was a little bit of a struggle. Aiden's long limbs made carrying him awkward, since he was still a few inches taller than I am. I set him down as carefully as I could, but I still caught his slight groan when his head lolled back and struck the table. "s**t!" I gave him a sheepish chuckle. "Eat fewer cookies, you weigh a damn ton." His eyes glittered with defiant amusement. I arranged him as comfortably as I could and stared at him for a long moment. "You should start feeling your body again soon, it'll tingle. A lot." He blinked slowly to tell me he understood and closed his eyes very deliberately. I nodded and glanced over to Sir chained to the wall, quivering in terror. "Thank you, Aiden." A tear slid out of my Alpha's closed eye, and I picked up the long, thin knife and a bottle of dark liquid. "I'll be done before the Campus Police get here." I moved slowly across the room to Sir. "My Alpha needs rest to work off your poison, so I'll make you a deal." I pushed the knife slowly into his shoulder, his screaming muffled by the gag. "See? That won't do, you're disturbing his rest." I pulled the knife out and opened the bottle. "The quieter you are for my Alpha, the nicer I'll be to you." I slid the thin blade into the dark liquid. "Sound fair? It's more than you deserve." I will give him credit, he stayed quiet a lot longer than I expected. . . . . . .
