. . . . . . (mid July)
The pup was awake. Lilian was sitting next to him on the couch, she kept leaning over to whisper to him and he generally responded to her questions with nods. She was touring him through her playlists, as far as I could tell. Kyle whooped next to me, and I tossed the controller to Lilian with a laugh.
"Man, it's a good thing I don't need to protect my title through video games, I'm the worst player!"
"Hang on a second, I have to destroy my mate in Smash Brother's really quick." Lilian laughed and patted the teen's hand, who nodded silently. "Gotta avenge my Alpha, AGAIN." I chuckled, and Bryce pulled over to trade me the driver's seat. I slid into the seat after giving Sinah a quick kiss.
/:What's the news, love?:/ Her eyes didn't open. She was supposed to be sleeping, but Selene and Rhys had been taking turns watching over the boy's wolf.
/:Selene is certain his wolf will wake up soon, and she thinks she should be able to heal his eye well enough to actually see in the next round, without straining either of us too much.:/
/:I would really like it if we could contact his wolf before he can see again. His wolf is still young enough to have hope, he can help us get the kid to trust us, at least until he's healthy.:/
/:Or, at least long enough for the kid to kick your ass at video games and steal the pack.:/
The entire camper started laughing, except the teen, who was startled. I snorted; I didn't realize Sinah had opened our link to the whole pack. Even our wolves were laughing. I grinned shamelessly.
/:He probably could as is, I seriously suck.:/ I narrowed the link back to just my mate. /:Brat.:/
/:Love you.:/
A grin split my face and a growl rumbled deep in my chest. Sinah's eyes opened slightly, and her lips curled mischievously. I lifted an eyebrow and glanced at her. She tapped her nose and winked at me, and I took a deep breath.
My eyes went black and the growl that tore from me was not subtle. Sinah squirmed in her seat and bit her lip as I pulled the camper to a stop on the side of the highway. I barely had it in park before she had the passenger door open and bolted towards the trees on the side of the road. I shot out behind her, I could hear Bryce yelling at me and Lilian laughing, but I only had enough focus for my gorgeous mate, waiting for me in the woods.
