I leave the memories of others and concentrate on our own achievements, our triumphs. We were four and alone and we made it on our own with no help from anyone. We grew up to be strong, fast and independent. I show little-me the strength she has, the strength of standing alone. A bright light shines into our cave. It’s the sun and we walk outside to watch it rise. The frost melts where the light touches. We first see it on the ground and the rock wall, but then we realize there was frost on our skins as well. It melts. The rays of the sun are warm. I am the frost, I melt and disappear, leaving the little girl to stand alone in front of the cave, bathed in sunlight. She doesn’t need me. She stands tall and brave with the deep, unshakable knowledge that she’s strong and will make it on her o
