  As Cahir carried her toward the corner, Katia felt like she was melting into him.   There was no comfortable bed waiting, just their discarded clothes, which Cahir had carelessly spread on the ground. The blood-stained, dust-covered fabric looked utterly crude.   Cahir laid her down on the pile of clothes, then tried to pry her arms and legs from around him.   But Katia didn't want to let go.
