“Ask” Chloe's mother said, her voice echoing throughout the cottage.
Aurora knew she should get on to more serious questions that actually helped her investigation but one question troubled her.
“Why did you leave the Redwoods pack?” she asked.
Chloe's mother c****d her head to the side. “They refused to give my daughter justice, naturally I had to leave.” she paused to take a sip of her tea before continuing. “They closed the case too early and refused my request to re-open it, they even went further to restrict anyone from doing an investigation. They betrayed me, so I had to leave,” she said, her eyebrows drawn into a thin line.
