The engine died as they arrived at silver fang. The rain had stopped but some grey clouds were still present. Immediately Rowan parked, Aurora manoeuvred to the driver's seat, unlocked the door and dashed outside.
“Aurora!” Rowan called after her but she didn't reply and just walked faster.
“Aurora.” he said as he caught up with her.
Grabbing her arm, he spun her back around to face him. “Wait.” he whispered softly, his breath caressing her face.
“Wait for what?” she asked, heat creeping up her face. Her emotions a mix of anger and confusion.
Before he could reply, they heard a voice from the porch. “Rowan!” the person yelled. It was Maddy. She stepped down from the porch and basically ran over to Rowan and Aurora.
