"I told you, you need to rest. You’re not in the right condition-"
"You don’t get to decide that!" she shouted. She had always been a reserved one, never actually letting her voice get so high even after she returned. Her raising her voice now made Rowan a hundred percent sure that she was definitely not okay.
“Aurora, I'm not trying to control you. I’m just trying to take care of you. That’s all.”
She walked up to him now, eyes blazing. "I never asked for your care! You weren’t there when it mattered, Rowan. You weren’t there when I actually needed you. You discarded me and I was alone. So don’t stand here acting like you suddenly care because you feel guilty!”
Rowan's eyes would usually blaze by now but instead he sighed in defeat.
