Jeff I gripped her neck so hard and her eyes widened as she struggled to breathe. She pleaded for mercy between the faces of air. “Please,” she managed to rasp out, “I'll tell you everything but please don't kill me.” I eased my grip slightly and demanded, “Speak up now! Tell me everything I need to know.” She took a deep and shaky breath as her eyes darted around the room. She pleaded, “Promise me you won't kill me.” I furrowed my brow and asked, “Kill you?” I repeated as I loosened my grip further, “Why would I kill you?
