  When Mara arrived at the house, her familiar presence was enough to lighten the mood that had settled like a dark cloud over Seraphina for days. Freya, sensing that her daughter needed the company of her closest friend, quietly excused herself to give them space. She knew when Mara was around, the atmosphere would change- she had that fierce, fiery spirit that could ignite something in Seraphina, and for that, Freya was grateful.   The door clicked shut behind Freya, and Mara wasted no time. She walked right over to Seraphina, pulling her into a tight hug.   "You look like you've been through hell, but I'm here now. Tell me everything later," Mara said as she pulled away, her gaze serious but with the hint of a smile tugging at her lips. "But first, I have some stories to tell you."
