Kabir on the other hand was rushing to get home as he kept on trying to call Ahmad but his number was unreachable. Unfortunately, as he was on high speed and wasn't concentrating on the road, he missed his gaze and hit a car coming from the opposite direction, the accident was severe. He hit his head severely and his face was severely injured too. He was rushed to the hospital immediately by people around the place. He was bleeding seriously. The doctors immediately attended to him as his condition was serious. The hospital involved the police immediately. He doesn't have any means of identification with him. They were able to use his thumb print and unlock his phone. They placed a call to his parents and informed them about his situation. They were really worried and decided to take the early morning flight from Lagos tomorrow morning....

The following morning, Jeffery became sober, he woke up with a severe headache. Events from last night starts flashing in his head. Holy s**t!!! He shouted, What have I done, he said. He quickly jump off the bed and picked his car keys. He head to Kabir's house immediately, hoping he is still fine as he remembers the situation he left him last night when he was drunk. As he entered the room, to his greatest surprise, he met Ahmad lying on the bed with torn clothes. What the f**k, he shouted. Oh noo, this is not true, I hope this is not what i have done, he said as he rushed to the bed. Ahmad! Ahmad, he called. The poor boy has fainted. He quickly picked him up and rushed him to the hospital. The nurses attended to him. While Jeffery was sitting in the reception thinking of what he has done, he saw Kabir's parents rushing into the hospital too. They look worried and stressed out. He became surprised. What is wrong he asked himself. He stopped a nurse passing by. Sister, what is wrong with those people entering that ward, he asked pointing at them. Oh, their son had an accident last night and I think his condition is worst, the nurse replied and left. Jeffery was shocked. Kabir had an accident, so its true that I r***d Ahmad. Ohh my God, Jeff what have you done, he asked himself hitting his head on the wall. He quickly followed Kabir's parents to the ward. Your son had a severe injury in his head which affect his brain, Jeffery heard the doctor says as he stood by the door. And am afraid it might result to a mental problem if the surgery is not done immediately. Even if the surgery is done, there is a 50% that it might lead to AMNESIA, which means he will totally forget about himself. I am not sure if it will be permanent or temporary but i will advise you to take him abroad within this week for the surgery, the doctor said. Also, his face is seriously injured, almost all his tissues are insured, he will require a plastic surgery that will change his looks, he added and head out of the room. Jeffery broke into tears hearing Kabir's situation. He sat by the door crying seriously. He managed to walk back to the ward where Ahmad was admitted. He continued crying as he saw the situation he put the young boy in. He sat there by the bed for almost 4hours before Ahmad could finally Open his eyes. He looked around the room. He tried sitting up but all his body was paining him. He broke into tears as he looked at Jeffery. What are you doing here he asked. Take it easy Ahmad, you are still weak, Jeffery said. You haven't answered me, Ahmad said again. Jeffery decides to hide the truth from Ahmad since that's the only way to save himself. I went to your apartment this morning to talk to Kabir, I was surprised the way I met you lying helplessly on the bed. I tried calling Kabir but I couldn't reach him. What happened to you, Jeffery asked.

Ahmad broke into tears again, I hate him Jeffery, I hate him. I thought he meant it when he said he loved me, but I never knew it was lust. I thought he was telling the truth when he said he could wait but I never thought it was a lie. Why Kabir, you should have wait, I was just ready to make it up to you, I was ready to give in to you, but you have shown me the monster you are, I hate you Kabir, Ahmad said crying.But how sure were you that it was Kabir that r***d you, don't you trust him that much? Jeffery asked while I was still crying. I do trust him, but I am also sure that lust can lead to anything. The body scent, his broad and hairy body, I all felt that. Even though he didn't say a word at all. I am more convinced it's him since no one comes to the house to visit us, I explained bitterly. It was then that it dawned on Jeffery that he messed up a great deal. He remembered that they have been using the same brand of perfumes for ages. Jeffery was really guilty, he pity the young boy, he hated him self for doing that but he can't bring him self to tell Ahmad about the r**e or Kabir's accident. He promised himself to take care of Ahmad and to stop drinking just to pay for what he did. Ahmad was discharged the same Afternoon. Where should I take you to, Jeffery asked as he drove me out . I don't want to have anything to do with that monster again, can you do me a favor and take me to my apartment, I asked. Sure, why not, he replied.

Jeffery took me back to the school, are you sure you can stay there? He asked, yes, of course, I will get back to my apartment, I replied. He helped me get my stuff out of Kabir's place to my room. Here, Jeffery gave me his card, call me if you need anything, he said. Okay, thank you, I replied as I collected the card. Make sure you take enough rest, I will be checking on you from time to time, he said as he turned and left. I locked up my room immediately when he left, I laid on the bed and started crying. Memories of last night started flooding on my head, I could remember vividly how he came in and rushed on me, using strength to put me down, how he tore my clothes and kissed me aggressively, how he forcefully f****d me, even though I spent days practicing, the force he used in thrusting into my body was too harsh. I was hurt badly. Tears ran down my cheek as I wondered why Kabir decided to be a jerk. So it was the opposite all this while, he was actually the monster he kept calling Jeffery. I continued crying helplessly. I spent the whole day on the bed. To my greatest surprise, I didn't hear the sound of Kabir's car, I didn't want to hear it anyway, so I didn't care. Jeffery came by in the evening, he brought food and some ingredients to me. How are you feeling, he asked. I am feeling better, I replied. He sat on the bed, are you sure you don't want to report this to the police, he asked. No Jeffery, there is no point in doing so, I don't want to be a mockingbird, I replied. What about the school, don't you think they should know, he asked again. There is no point too, Kabir is done with his service here, he is just waiting for me to get admitted to the university so we can leave to Lagos together, guess he has already left since he has gotten what he wanted, so the school can't possibly help me here, I will just get myself exposed, I said crying. Jeffery was looking at me and was about to cry too. He moved closer and hugged me. It's okay Ahmad, it's okay, I will help you then, he said. So are you admitted, I heard that the list is being released, he said. Yes, that was part of what I wanted to celebrate with him yesterday. Actually, I wanted to study here in my state, but Kabir Insisted on following him to Lagos. I guess that will be a waste now since this has happened, I said. Would you allow me to help you, Jeffery Asked? I looked at him with a surprised face? What do you want Jeffery, I asked. He moved closer to me, Ahmad, I know Kabir has already condemned me in your eyes, I know you see me as a monster now, but I want you to know that I am not as bad as I am. I agree that I drink and cheat but I will never bring myself to do what he did to you, Jeffery said. I sighed and looked at him. I am really afraid of Jeffery. After what Kabir did, I don't think I can trust someone again. He has become my enemy now. He was really successful in opening my heart to love him and he has closed it now forever, I said. Very good Ahmad, since you have agreed that Kabir is your enemy also, I think we need to join forces to get back at our enemy, let's join hands and do this together Ahmad, Jeffery said. I was still confused, so I gave him an unsure look. But we will have to visit my village, so they can know my whereabouts, I said. Yes, we will do that next week when I am done with the arrangement, by then you are better, he said standing up. Hmmmm!!!! Jeffery sighed as he sits in the car, Forgive me Kabir, but this is the only way I can help fulfill your dreams of giving a bright future to Ahmad, forgive me for making you look this bad, but this is the only way I got, can't afford telling him the truth if not he will never accept the offer of having this future with me, Jeffery said to himself looking at Kabir's picture. You are a jerk Jeff, you are a monster, he shouted at himself crying.

I laid back on the bed after eating and taking my drugs. Just watch Kabir, I will surely make you pay for this, I closed my eyes...
