11. Rowan's POV
****Four years later***
Five humans in our territory in the last ten days. They were merely hikers, but they were human and thus, trouble.
The hunters of my pack watched them from tree tops from behind bushes. We never kill human beings more than we have to. So, with their breaths held, they watched the humans go away and they came to report back to me at the house.
It's a thing of worry because our interactions with humans are limited. They lived in oblivion of us and it was our nature to keep it that way.
They have grown in numbers over the years but in the last years, it has been something else entirely.
They've built close to us and even though powerful spells keep them from wandering into our territories, we encounter them on our huntings sometimes.
