When we got to school, there weren’t as many people in the parking lot as there usually was which meant we were almost late. Almost late was the same as being late in my eyes and there was no way I was going to class without first making sure that Jay and Kate tasted the cupcakes I had made. I spent the entire night working on them and I would be damned if they stayed longer with me. I jumped off the motorcycle, took the helmet off and tossed it to Keith who was just hopping off the motorcycle. He threw me an incredulous but amused look as he held the helmet in his hands. “Sorry, but you almost made us late and I need to give something to Kate and Jay before class,” I said and didn’t wait for a response as I ran towards the school entrance. I could faintly hear the Keith’s mellow laugh
