Chapter Ninety-Seven
Logan’s POV
I give Jake one look, a clear message passing between us even without having to use the mind link or our words. He leans to his side of the car first, staring out through the window without giving out his location. I don’t even think there is any need for that, as whoever is around knows that we are in the car. It has to be the reason for the attack in the first place.
Jake cranes his neck around for a few seconds before turning back to me. His eyes give his response away and I look out at my own side of the car that covers the left side of the road, showing thick forests that block any path further. It does nothing to stop my clear vision as I project forward, looking for anything, anyone, even the slightest move.
