Chapter Fifty- Four
Logan’s POV
Jake scurries down the stairs while I walk behind him, making an attempt to ascertain what this is about. His feet move faster than it does on a regular day, and knowing how laid-back my Beta usually is, except in tense situations, I have reasons to believe that this is actually something pretty important and scary. He walks into my study before me and waits by the door long enough for me to get in before pushing it close and moving to stand in front of me.
“It is a good thing we are here,” I say first, beating him to it. “I was meaning on planning to check if the key to my dad’s study is still where I left it, or if the drawer appears tampered with.”
