Chapter Forty-Two Trina’s POV The moonlight filters through the wide windows of the pack house, painting silvery streaks across the wooden floorboards. I blink to ensure I can no longer feel the effect of the wine, then stretch as far as my arms can take me, ready for my new quest. The house is eerily silent, the usual buzz of wolves and their nightly escapades absent. It’s the perfect time. My feet hit the floor as I slip out of the bed, careful not to make a sound.
