Chapter Twenty-Five Logan’s POV They have been gone for quite some time now, and rather than me to focus on the work I have on my desk, I find my eyes straying to the door, wondering if they are going to come in any minute now. My gaze returns to the files and I peruse them, trying to find my attention when it is wandering around the hallways with questions written all over it. Sighing, I close the file altogether and lean into the seat, a muscle working in my jaw and the wheels of my head turning so fast. “Trina, right?” Jake says casually. We’ve been friends for a long since our fathers were friends too, and he always seems to know what is going on in my head. “She’s going to be alright. Her wounds have all healed up, and the one in her brain is going to as well. Just give it time.”
