Sella pov
The alarm went off at 7:00 am. My arm reached to the phone to turn it off, my eyes were still closed. I felt nausea and headache from all the drinking last night.
I sat up straight in bed. I rubbed my eyes with the palms of my hands in a desperate try to wake myself up. I reached out to the night table on my right; there was a bottle of aspirin and a glass of water. It was a good idea to put them there as I knew I will be feeling sick in the morning. I took a pill and washed it down with the glass of water.
I walked into the shower and turned the cold water on. I felt more refreshed as the water moved down my body.
I finished my shower. I wrapped my body with the towel and head to the closet. I put on a pair of jeans a white t-shirt and a brown jacket. I poured myself a cup of coffee and drank it all in one go. I put on my boots on grabbed my car keys and I was ready to go.
I reached the precinct and parked my car in my spot. As soon I walked in, one thought was on my mind, give me a cup of coffee please. I grabbed my second cup of coffee. Now I feel focused and ready to bust some criminal ass.
Alex came from behind
"How are you felling today?"
"Terrible I had the worst hangover this morning, but after an aspirin, a shower and two cups of coffee I feel energized"
"Good because I have something for you."
We walked together to the one way window of the interrogation room.
Alex pointed at a man was sitting hand cuffed to the table
This morning we caught a small drug dealer.""
I looked at him he seemed in his twenties he had a shoulder long, curly ginger hair.
His eyes were green and he was weight with freckles. He was wearing an old green hoddie.
I looked at Alex
"Did you get a confession out of him?"
"I did. But I also got some extra information in exchange for less jail time. The area he was caught in was out of his lead. Being a young armature dealer truing to seal for people in a high status got him in trouble. That led me to the thought there must be some kind of change happened. I asked him about it, it turns out that the supplier he works for has changed the line of business from cocaine to pure meth."
I crossed my eyebrows in surprise.
"Pure meth! That sounds suspicions pure meth is not an easy drug to formulate. Also I doesn’t seem that a small group of dealers well get their hands on it."
"That’s what I thought."
"Did we get the name off the supplier?"
Alex took a deep breath before he continued.
"Unfortunately we didn’t. The drugs and money were exchanged through a public locker located in train station."
"What about the Surveillance Cameras"
"There is nothing on them. They know the cameras angles and avoided them"
I crossed my arms on my chest. I was trying to think of a good way to solve this situation, when Alex interrupted my thoughts
"On the bright side there was supposed to be a delivery today. The suppliers will drop a package at 12 pm"
My arm and jaw dropped, I rolled my eyes at him
"Really! you could have started the sentence with that"
Alex gave me a wicked smile
"But then I would lose the chance of seeing that cute annoyed reaction of yours."
Unable to respond to his flirting words my cheek blushed. Tied my hands behind my back, raised my shoulders, gave him a shy smile and said
"We should get ready for the mission"
Alex cleared his throat and looked at his watch before continuing
"Yah we should. I will go get ready. I will meet you in the car in a half an hour"
Alex is a really nice guy. He is the kind to take home and introduce him to your parents, a good friend, someone you can count on to be there in your rainy days. But also he got the good looks too. He is tall; I can barely reach his eyes even with my heels on. He had a really broad shoulder. He had a blond short hair, goatee beard with a mustache. His eyes were clear blue it's like looking at the deep blue ocean.
He was every woman's dream, but not mine's. Somehow I only saw him as close friend and job partner. My relationship with him pissed off a lot of women in the precinct. Especially Rita she has her eyes on him for months now.
I should push Alex towards her. I think they will make a cute couple.
I shook my head to wake myself up from the day dreaming.
Enough with the drama. It is time to work.
I head to my locker. I Loaded my gun made sure it was read to go in case of an emergency. I put on a shoulder gun hostler and hid it with my jacket. I need to make sure that no one can see it.
I went down to meet Alex. His car was parked outside. It is a blue sedan BMW. I walked over tried to open the door but it was looked. I looked inside, he wasn’t there.
Then I heard the voice of the automatic look open.
"I brought you a hot chocolate."
Alex voice came from behind. I turned around to face him.
"I'm not a kid you know."
He hands me the cup and say
"True. but you already had two cups of coffee today. That seems enough. Unless you are planning to give yourself a heart attack"
I took the cup from him and got into the car. He was wearing a dark blue shirt that accentuates his eye color with a black jacket and a gray jacket to hide his gun underneath.
We drove to the train station. We both took a different place to watch the lockers. I took the bench across from it. I pretended to drink my chocolate and wait for the train. While Alex took the corner near the newspapers stand and pretended to read a magazine.
At 12 o'clock. A man approached the exact locker. He was wearing a black leather coat a black hat that covered his head. He seemed in his mid-forties.
Alex and I both looked at each other. We walked slowly towards him. We waited for him to open the locker. Alex pulled his gun.
"This is police put your hands in the air, turn around and step away from the locker."
The man turned slowly with his hands crossed behind his head. I started searching him for drugs. I searched the inside of his coat and found a drugs package it was heavily wrapped with duct tape, I unwrapped it to check it.
"This is definitely meth"
I cuffed the man while Alex told him his rights to remain silent. We put him in the back of the car and drove back to the station.
I took a look at him from the side mirror he had neck tattoo of a dragon. His face had a big scar on his left cheek. He had dark brown eyes, with an evil look in them. By just the look in his eyes you can tell he had killed a few men. Underneath his hat he had a shaved bald head
Back at the station we ran a background check on him. His name was Michel tailor he had a criminal record of violence and drug dealing.
Alex and I interred the investigation room trying to get information about his gang. We sat across from him. He looked calm and composed nothing like what will you expect from someone just got coat with drugs. Alex started the investigation.
"Mr. Michel. We caught you with a big pack off meth. Do you know how many years in prison this will cost you?"
We didn’t get any responds of him, not even an eye blink. He just had a poker face on with a dead looking stare in his eyes. I continued the talk.
"Information has reached to us. Your gang used to deal with cocaine and now you switched to meth. Why is that?"
I didn’t wait for his respond as I know I won't have any.
"You know we can help lower your jail sentence if you cooperated with us"
He looked right into my eyes and said
"I prefer to be in jail right now. It's safer than being outside while the west family is hunting us"
Both Alex and I looked at each other not understanding what he said Alex asked.
"What's the problem with the west family?"
He clenched his fist in anger.
"Those bastards think the streets belong to them. They kill anybody trying to compete with them. They had it coming when we took their drugs. It was ours to begin with. But now that our boss Donny is dead, we have no leader and no one to protect the gang. We are better off looked up in cells than in the streets"
I crossed my arms and leaned over in the chair.
"This boss of yours Donny he's the reason of this transition in drug type?"
Alex continued
"And they killed your boss because you stole from them. Are you ready to testify in court?"
Michel looked at us like we were crazy and laughed like we just told him a joke.
"Are you serious? Going against them in streets might get you killed, but going against them in court that means your whole family will be wiped out from the face of the earth."
His words sent shivers down my spine. How can people be so cruel and inhumane? Is it all for money? Does human life worth nothing for them?
Demon pov
At the office in my mansion, I sat down sipping whisky. The view from this room is the best I can see the garden with the big white marble fountain in the center. It was a Grecian lady holding a vase.
I remember my childhood every time I look at it. I remember her sad unchanging face. I wanted her to be happy I would get inside the fountain basin under the pouring water of her vase. I would splash and jump and pretend to shower just to make her laugh. But she never does.
I would do this for hours whenever I had the chance, and I will not stop only to the sight of Miss Daphne the housekeeper running toured me promising a big painful punishment if she catches me.
Or if I heard the yelling sound of my father. Down from the garden you can see his office the same as where I'm siting now. But he always had his back to the window. I could see his big leather chair it covered his whole body accept his white haired head and his hand which either had a glass of whisky in it which he casually use it as weapon to throws at his men whenever he is angry, or it had a Cuban cigar.
I never understood him who would turn his back on such a beautiful view. Yet I never understood must of his thoughts either.
A knock on the door interrupted my thought.
"Come in."
It was Apollo.
"Boss one of our men informed us about Lucas hiding place."
I stud up, took the last sip of my whisky and put on my black jacket.
"Let's go Apollo."
