"Congratulations my princess." My mom congratulated me and hugged me tightly. "Thanks mom." "I still can't believe how the little girl I once held in my arms had grown so fast." "I'm so proud of you my princess." She said amidst tears. "Stop crying mom, today is supposed to be a happy day so you shouldn't be crying." I said with a big smile plastered on my face. Today is one of the best days of my life because after three solid years, I'm finally graduating from high school today. I didn't believe my parents could make it to my graduation ceremony today because they were still out of the country this morning. "Congratulations baby." My dad finally said with his arms still in his pockets. "Thanks daddy." "I really thought you guys weren't going to show up today." "Well, you should know that you are our number one priority and we wouldn't miss your graduation ceremony for anything else." "Daddy said with a smile." "I really sincerely appreciate you guys showing up." "Congrats bestie." Lily said with a bright smile on her face as she rushed forward and hugged me." "Congratulations baby girl." I said as I hugged her more tightly. "We finally did it girl." She said and started crying just like mom did. "Yeah, we did it but today is not meant for crying right?" "Sorry, I just couldn't help it." "Alright girls, enough of all this." "Let's head home, I have a surprise for you guys." Mom announced enthusiastically. "Okay mom, you and dad should carry on. We will be home in a jiffy." "The school is hosting a party for our year batch and today being our last day at school, we definitely can't miss out." Hand in hand, Lily and I walked to the changing room and changed our outfits, did our makeups and headed to the school's ball room. "Wow, this this hall looks like something straight from a fairy tale story." "Look that artificial night sky looks real and beautiful." "She said pointing her index finger at the ceiling." "Yeah, it's beautiful." We settled on a couch as a waiter approached to serve us. " What would you like to take ma'am?" He asked politely. " Anything non alcoholic will do." I replied and he served us orange juice. We were chatting with some girls in our class when Oliver came and asked Lily to dance with him. You needed to see how Lily was foolishly laughing as she followed him to the dance floor. I was left alone on the couch when I heard my phone ringing. I picked up the phone and answered the call but I couldn't hear a thing mom was saying because of the noise so I decided to go to the balcony to answer the call. When I reached the hallway, I heard faint noises coming from the pool side. I was about to ignore it and continue walking when I heard a familiar voice so I walked to the direction of the pool. As I closer, I saw Stefan, one of my classmates pinning a girl against the wall as she was desperately trying to break free. "Please let go of me, I'm begging you." She sobbed. "If you obediently give me what I want, I will let you go." "And what do you want from her?" They both turned their heads in my direction. "Would you like to have a one night stand with me instead?" He asked with a mischievous smile and winked at me. "Will you let go of her or should I call security?" "Are you a police officer?" He asked me. "So the choice is yours, will you let go of her or I should call security on you?" "The choice is yours." Reluctantly, he released the girl and she run into my arms sobbing uncontrollably. "It's okay, we should be thanking God he didn't succeed." "Yeah, thanks for saving me. I really appreciate it." "Don't mention, after all I did nothing but helped a fellow woman in need." "It's what I should do." "No, I totally disagree with you if you say it's what you should do." "I mean, other girls passed by without sparing me a second glance." "Saving me was a choice but you still didn't choose leaving me to be taken advantage of by a random guy." "You really have a good heart and God will send an angel to your aid whenever you find yourself wanting." She said, but I could see she was still shaken from fear so I couldn't just leave her alone on her own, my conscience wouldn't let me so I offered to take her home. "Did you attend the party alone?" I asked her but she was still crying and couldn't answer my question. "You know what, just give me your address and I will take you home." I offered politely. "Thank you, you could just use my car, it's in the parking lot." "No need, I actually came with my car so I can drop you off." "Okay, I think I will just have my driver come for my car tomorrow morning." "So I live in apartment number nineteen at Diamond Hill Estate." "Oh wow, that makes it easier cuz I know where Diamond Hill Estate is located." "You do?" "Yeah, my mom has a property over there plus that's where my uncle lives whenever he is in the country so I'm quite familiar with the place." "Okay." "Let's go then." I helped her to the where my car was parked, collected my car keys from the security man and drove into the darkness. Just as my car hit the main road, my phone started ringing non-stop and I immediately knew who it was. "Hello." I spoke into the phone. Before I could say anything else, Lily's angry voice came from the other end of the line. "Evana Melvins, tell me, where do I tell your mom her daughter is?" "Mom called you?" "Isn't she supposed to call me when you refused to pick up her calls?" "My bad, something came up and that's why I couldn't answer her calls. I will call her now." "Are you still at the party?" "I don't understand, was I supposed to leave without finding your whereabouts first?" "Do you want your parents to put me behind bars?" "I'm sorry, you were busy when I left the party so I couldn't say a word to you." "Where on earth are you young lady?" She shouted angrily into the phone. "You know what, just head home first, we will catch up tomorrow morning at the mall and I will tell you everything but for now, let me call mom or she would be worried sick." "Please do." "Okay bye." I said as we ended the call. "I'm so sorry you are in trouble because of me." She said quietly. "No don't worry, you did nothing wrong. The rest of the ride was silent until we reached the gate of villa number nineteen in Diamond Hill Estate. "We are here." I announced but I immediately noticed from the rear view mirror that she was sleeping. She yawned lazily and got out of the car. "Please come in with me, mommy will be glad to meet the heroine who saved me tonight." She said with hope in her doll-like eyes. She was a very beautiful girl. She had a round face, a pointed nose. She also had million-dollar legs and skin as white as milk. She stood gracefully in her high heels and cocktail dress that accentuated her curves. "Oh I'm sorry but maybe some other time." "By the way, my name is Ryanna Diaz and you?" "I'm Evana Melvins."
