It took several dinners, in fact, to iron out the details of what they needed in terms of supplies and manpower. Nora didn’t seem to mind that the dinners stretched long and revolved around work as long as Heron kept the cocktails coming and Victoria continued to reach across the table and squeeze her hand from time to time.
By the fifth night, an equipment list was made, a departure date set, and all that remained was for Heron and Grace to enjoy their last few days in luxury.
