Strong arms wrap around me from behind as I feel his lips on my neck. “It’s so quiet.”
I giggle. “It’s less quiet now that Sophia let you come home.”
“Home?”
“For just a few more days,” I say, turning in his arms and wrapping my arms around his neck, spatula still in my hand. “I love you so much, Seth.”
“And I, you,” he says, leaning in to kiss me.
I break our kiss, turning back around to flip the pancake. Always pancakes. After being here and having Seth and Calvin help cook so much, the twins won’t eat anything else for breakfast. I’d tell them no, but they did a remarkable job of healing their dad, so they can have them until we return to the palace.
“Are you ready for tonight?” he asks.
I shake my head. “I’m so nervous. I’ve never done this before.”
