The Fire Moon Nation

One Year Later

    “Ethan keep up,” I hollered to my brother who is running like hell behind me to catch up as we run through the pack village.

    “Serena. Hold up please,” Ethan yelled as we ran past the armory. We can not be late grandfather will have my head I hope he realizes this. It has done been a year since we were brought here to live with are grandparents. Ethan starts beta training today. He is four and I am six but being a kid for me doesn’t get to happen. Now for him it won’t either.

    “Ethan we are almost there move it,” I told him as we reached the training field entrance. Today we were told wasabi gonna be a special day. Grandfather had two other alphas from the council coming today. Grandmother said they were almost as powerful as grandfather and the second and third in charge of the fire moon nation. Which could only mean one thing. They are the other two masters. The three masters founded the fire moon nation. Their power passes to their blood heirs. They rule the council of alphas with the head master; are grandfather above them all. s**t and we are late we’re dead.

     We made it inside the training grounds and see the people standing in the middle stair at us as we approached. Grandfather shot us a glare. O hell no that’s it we are in for it. But I see three men standing with him. I can sense their strength they are all three very powerful alphas almost as strong as grandfather. I thought only two were coming. I also see with them five other pups around mine and my brother’s ages one or two a few years older at the most. We stopped bowing are heads in respect to grandfather; “alpha,” we both said at the same time.

    “Your late,” he stated as he turned to face the others. We both looked up and he proceeded to give introductions. “Serena. Ethan. These are your new training buddies. Matthias; son of Aragorn king of the rouges. Stephanie; daughter of Master Mathew alpha of the lightening pack. Banji; Stephanie’s soon to be mate. Elise and Maria; granddaughters of Master Victor alpha of the earth pack,” he finished as I looked around. In shock more then anything. Most of them I get. But why is Aragorn and Matthias here? Are we not suppose to hate rouges? I remember all my father ever told me of them was they are filthy traitors that only deserve death. 

     My thoughts kept wondering. But so did my eyes. Matthias was not that bad looking though. Tan complexion, dark hair and ice blue eyes. Wait why was this going through my head I’m six. Grandfather would kick my ass for talking to boys I’m sure and Matthias can’t be more then eight or nine himself.

    “Serena! Are you going to answer me or day dream all day?” Grandfather snapped and I realized my mind had wondered as they all continued pairing us off for training to begin. Crap I face palmed myself. I’ll never hear the end of this morning when we get home.

    “Sorry sir. I was thinking and um wasn’t paying attention,” I admitted which earned me another glare.

    “Never mind,” he said and turned to me. “Pair with Stephanie. You two are more at each other’s power level.” 

    Crap is he serious this girl’s power seems way stronger then mine. And she has to be at least two years older then me. Payback for being late or day dreaming is my guess at this point. I didn’t let my mind wonder too much this time and quickly stepped in my place. Master Victor stood in the center where grandfather normally stands he must be teaching us today.

    The day went fast lunch seemed to come before no time. Guess sword play does that. Plus side we were not using are powers I can handle sword fighting easy grandfather instructs me on it on a daily. Stephanie is pretty cool as well we have talked a bit. But she keeps gaining the upper hand every time she catches me looking at Matthias. 

   “He is your mate,” Stephanie said as we sat down for lunch.

   “How is that possible I’m only six? Grandfather will kill me or him,” I said as I turned to her in shock. 

   “We are alphas and future masters are wolves awaken sooner then others,” she stated. “Banji is my mate I found out the day I got my wolf when I was around your age. Father keeps him close and trains with us. But it was true my father knew the day my wolf awoken.”

   “Uh. That’s creepy we are kids,” I said as I started to eat my sandwich. My brain was going nuts at this point I’m wondering if grandfather knew. I got my wolf last month and my fire powers. Is that why the rouges are here?

    Lunch was soon over and the rest of the day went fast. The alphas talked as grandfathers beta continued are daily training. Soon we were dismissed for the day and grandfather sent us home to clean up and get ready for dinner. I did as I was told but my brain wouldn’t shut up. I wanted to ask him if he knew Matthias was my mate.
