~Queen~
After the day I embarrassed myself in front of big brother Prince, I continued to follow him around as usual, maybe even more than before. Now, Prince barely wants to look at me and refuses to talk to me, but I don't care because I believe persistence conquers all.
Today, the university organized a volunteering camp to visit schools and villages in need. I knew Prince was on the committee and had to go, so I invited April and Anna to join as well. I had to get up at 4 AM and call to wake them both up because the bus would leave around 5:30 AM.
I arrived at the meeting point around 5 AM, and soon my friends were all there. I scanned the area for Prince. There he is!
"Prince," I called his name and waved. Prince turned to look at me. He was smiling, but as soon as he saw me, he stopped. Still, I forced a smile, happy to see him, and walked over to him immediately.
"Did you come along with them?"
"Yes, Queen wanted to come."
"Did you want to come to follow me, or are you genuinely interested in volunteering?"
"Both," I answered with a grin. Prince shook his head slightly.
"It's not as easy or fun as you think, Queen. I think you should go back."
"No, Queen will go."
"Alright, suit yourself," Prince sighed heavily before saying.
My friends and I sat on the same tour bus as Prince, but he sat in the back while I sat towards the front.
Then, it was time to set off to a school on a mountain in a northern province. Along the way, there was music and dancing, making the journey lively. It took about 10 hours to reach the destination, arriving right around evening.
When the volunteer group arrived at the school, the villagers welcomed us and prepared dinner. After eating, everyone went to shower and get ready for bed, as we needed to work on fixing up the school's rundown facilities the next day. We would be staying there for three days and two nights.
"Aren't you sleepy?" April asked me as I was watching the seniors playing guitar and singing joyfully under a big tree. Among them was Prince, who was playing the guitar.
"Not really."
"Not sleepy or just watching the guys?" April asked knowingly.
"No way! I'm really not sleepy, just sitting here and looking around."
"Alright, then I'll go to bed first." With that, April headed into the classroom, which is now our bedroom.
"Okay, I'll join you soon." Then I looked at the seniors again. My eyes could only see Prince. What a guy—so handsome, great at playing the guitar, and sings beautifully too. After a while, I started feeling sleepy, so I went to bed.
The next morning
~Prince~
Last night, we played the guitar until late, and had to wake up early for our tasks today.
No matter what I do or where I go, there's always someone following me everywhere. That someone is the little troublemaker. I'm so fed up with her. I don't know why she keeps following me. I've talked to her and scolded her, but she doesn't care at all. She keeps acting the same, or maybe even more so, after that day... the day she undressed in front of me.
This morning, we had rice porridge made by the villagers. After that, the volunteer team leader divided us into groups and assigned tasks. The men handled the heavy work, while the women took on the lighter tasks.
Tonight, there's a campfire celebration with performances by the school children. The fun began after we worked hard, showered, and ate. We gathered around the campfire set up in the school's grassy field.
"Um... are you Prince?" The pretty girl sitting next to me turned to look at me and asked.
"Yes, I am."
"My name is Nina, I'm in the second year of the Faculty of Arts," the pretty girl introduced herself with a sweet smile.
"Oh... nice to meet you."
"Do you have a girlfriend, Prince?" the pretty girl asked again, and before I could answer, someone else answered for me.
"Prince is engaged," Queen said, sitting between me and the pretty girl.
"Is that true, Prince?" the pretty girl turned to ask me again.
"No, it's not true," I quickly replied.
"It might not be true now, but it will be because Prince and I are going to be engaged. So, you don't need to bother with my Prince."
"You're just a junior. Learn to speak respectfully to your seniors."
"Why should I respect someone trying to steal my fiancé?"
"Hey! You..." The pretty girl seemed very displeased.
"Queenie, stop it right now. Don't make a scene here," I turned to speak to Queenie with a displeased tone. "I need to apologize to Nina."
"Why are you apologizing to her?"
"Queenie, I told you to stop," I snapped at Queenie again.
"Maybe Nina should move over there. Sitting here, she might get bitten by a rabid dog," the beautiful girl said before getting up and moving to the other side.
"You're the rabid dog," Queenie retorted after the girl.
"Queenie, when are you going to stop acting like this? How long will you keep being jealous and possessive? How long will you keep hounding me?" I asked quietly so only the two of us could hear.
"Until you accept my love, Prince," she replied.
"Ha! Dream on. Now go sit far away from me. You don't need to sit next to me."
"No, I will sit next to you, Prince."
Sigh...
I could only keep sighing repeatedly. By the time the campfire celebration ended, it was already ten o'clock. After that, everyone went off to rest as they pleased, since we had another day of work ahead of us tomorrow. The day after, we would be heading back to Bangkok.
