CHAPTER FOUR.

ZYRA. It was finally Friday. I was so excited. It was like I was going on a date, but this time with someone reasonable. I woke up very happy; I didn’t need to put myself in a mood because I had been waiting for this all week. Rynnelle and I had gotten along quite well these past few days after I decided to text her, she was nice and fun to talk to. I picked out the most comfortable outfit, a cute tiny maroon top and a pair of black jeans, paired with my YSL heels. I didn’t do too much make-up, I let my hair flow since I had straightened it previously, I took my purse, wore my favorite scents, and I headed to my car. I’m about to have such a fun time. The drive to Deans was pleasant because I was happy. I sang along to the songs from my playlist with excitement till I finally got to Deans. Rynnelle was already seated waiting for me, she was in almost the same outfit as me, but I guess hers was more open at the back and she looked beautiful, her bright brown eyes went well with her almost golden hair and Deans, was a restaurant. It was beautiful. “Hey beautiful.” She approached me with open arms immediately I got to where she was seated. “Hey lovely.” I hugged her. We both laughed and took our seats. “At one point I thought you weren’t going to make it.” She whined with a fake frown. I wouldn’t miss this ‘date’ even if I wanted to. I needed a friend. “I’m so sorry if I was late.” I said, laughing. “No problem, I actually got here ten minutes ago.” She added, and we laughed. We placed our orders and decided to talk about a few things before they arrived. We talked about a lot of things, our families, she was an only child just like me, our jobs, she ran a PR firm that managed luxury reputations, no wonder she got a G-Wagon, our hobbies, which were almost the same except she was more outgoing, and that brought us to our next stop. A museum. We left before we had our orders; Rynnelle had it cancelled, and she dragged us out to a much more fun place that was to our taste. That’s right, the museum was to our taste. ARDYN. I had been thinking about what Zaylen said all week. Working with a woman was not among the things I said I’d do in this life, but she had talent. Her designs were so unique and exquisite. I had done so much research on her to find just one thing that could make me not work with her, but I couldn’t find anything so convincing. I’d seen some comments but they weren’t about her work, they were about her, stating she was rude but easy to work with because she prioritized her work more than the investors opinions, meaning that she’d give you the best but not for your money, but for her work, for herself. This was definitely my type of person to work with, but the gender, was something else. I’d never worked with a woman before so this would be quite difficult considering I didn’t like women much and that I hadn’t found any other male that beat her at her work. She was unfortunately, the best. I wanted to consider not working with her due to the fact that throughout my research, I hadn’t seen her face, not once in any page or profile, but that wasn’t enough reason considering those that had already worked with her without seeing her were not fooled. The only thing I got out of this research was her name, Zyra, which was very rare. I decided to stop my decision making for a while and meet up with Mr. Ward at his museum. He was hosting an auction and as his business partner I ought to be there.
