Chapter one. The Romance

Cindy: in the kitchen, makes a cup of tea, sips it and checks the syringe of blood she inverted to separate. She goes and gets the HCG test strip. She runs the test and it was positive.

Scene 1;

Act 1

Location in Krush's apartment

Krush and Cindy (Krush's girlfriend) in bed half n***d but covered with bed spread

Krush: baby you know you're so beautiful. I'm so proud of you, you're my desert rain, my comfort in pain, my shade under the blazing sun, my baby, my world and my all...

*Cindy cuts in feeling so elated* Cindy: Krush I’m pregnant Krush: what do you mean? Cindy: I mean what I said

Krush: you say ‘you're pregnant?’ For who?

Cindy: for you of course, it's only you I clung to in this campus, and you know it.

*Krush lies down in awe*

Krush: that’s a strong one, so what do we do now?

*Cindy supports herself up by the hand*

Cindy: I don’t know, I’m as confused as duplicates of confusion combined and multiplied

Krush: ok then, to me I would say you keep it

Cindy: gosh! Keep what? In this campus? How do I go about my school and degree pursuit?

Krush: imagine what he'll look like Cindy: what are you talking about?

Krush: is it a 'he' or a 'she'?

Cindy: stop fooling about, you!

Krush: I mean, you're so beautiful, and I’m not that ugly

Cindy: hey! This is no joke

Cindy: *exhales* but I can't bear it dear

*Krush stands up putting on a shoe and Cindy lying down in deep thought*

Location: KSR recording studio

Krush doing a love song with Rockish his producer.

Krush behind the Mic.:

*Krush in thoughts still far away*

*He plays the intro beat afresh and Krush starts again but not better at all*

Scene 2

Act 2

*Rockish turns to face Empress*

Rockish: Krush has got an identical twin, ya?

Empress: if ‘yes,’ he’s not told me yet. Why?

Empress: like he’s got a pinch on the skin

****meanwhile the beat continued to play and Krush kept singing but in sluggish manner. ****

*Rockish angry and displeased turns back to face Krush*

Scene 3

Act 1

Location: Bakka fast-food.

*Krush trying to get off the tension. Phone buzzes ‘new message,’ he replies and starts chatting*

Cindy: Hello Honey,

Krush: hello bae

Cindy: where are you at

Krush: Bakka fast food

Cindy: OK baby, I'm coming there.

*Cindy walks into Bakka and meets Krush already seated*

Cindy: hello sweetheart...

Krush: how are you, Love?

Cindy: I’m fine.

Krush: *smiles* and how is it? Cindy: it is well.

Act 2

*Chucks comes out from Bakka's ‘staff only’ unit and sees them seated*

Chucks: hey buddy!

Krush: hey Chucks

Chucks: Been a long time coming... *sniffs* I can smell love in the air.

What are you doing here?

Hello Cindy

Cindy: it always take you the millennium to notice me, I’m a small fry, right?

Chucks: no dear, I beg your pardon on my ill manners.

How are you today?

Cindy: does it matter? I'm fine anyway, before you start blotting your ministrations here.

*All smiles*

Act 3

*Amidst the smiles Cindy's phone rings, she checks whose calling, looks up*

Cindy: my Dad, I’ll be with you guys in a jiffy, he wouldn’t like this environment.

Chucks and Krush: okay.

*Cindy walks out to answer her Dad*

Act 4

Krush: so what brought you here?

Chucks: I came to make some enquiries on supplies.

Krush: for what?! The last time I checked your birthday was four months and two weeks ago. Who’s throwing the party this time? Chucks:

*chuckles, gesturing two hands in the air* You and -should I say celebrations or parties?

Krush: what business of yours is it?

Chucks: anyway, as you know, my Gospel Concert 'Worship His Majesty,' is coming up next month, or have you forgotten?

Krush: I haven't o, just gat little bugs drinking from my blood streams.

Chucks: bugs? Like?

Krush: later

**silence trails the atmosphere for a moment** Krush: yes, back to business. Supplies for who?

Chucks: for my invited and performing guest artists.

Act 5

*Cindy walks back in and sits*

Chucks: Cindy I'm officially inviting you to my Gospel Concert.

Scene 4

Act 1

Location Krush's apartment

*Cindy unlocks the door and walks into the room moody, she drops her hand bag takes her sanitary pad and hastes into the toilet. She comes out and lays on the foam weeping profusely.*

*In the Meanwhile*

Location: KSR recording studio

*Krush talking to Rockish and Empress*

Krush: Rock there's a musical tone ringing in my brains.

Rockish: what kind of song is that?

Krush: I can't really tell, just do me a beat that goes with this hum tone.

*Krush does the 'hum' sound, and Rockish goes into work, while Empress checks out possible lyrics* Hint: song is 'Most Wanted'

Rockish: can you flow well with that key?

Krush: probably

Rockish: No... No... No… no probable things, ya...? Let’s check C flat and G or F#

*as Rockish says it, he switches between the keys*

Rockish: This is sounding really great, ya?

Empress: like door! I'm so loving this.

Rockish: so what do we title it? For saving purposes ...ya?

Krush: the unknown

Empress: I suggest the 'ghost' song

*all smiles*

*it was getting late so the studio closed for the day and they all left and went home*

Scene 5

Act 1

*Krush gets home, enters and sees Cindy in tears goes and meets her in the foam, puts her head on his lap*

Krush: Cindy, what's the matter with you?

Cindy: been bleeding three days now!

Krush: *drops her* what?!

*Cindy starts weeping the more*

*Krush stands up in extreme displeasure and walks to the window, looking through it he soliloquizes*

''Should I get mad at her now? *sighs.* don’t you think she deserves it? After all I insisted. She insisted too.

People say ‘Understanding is what really makes a man a real man’, and ‘as a real man you should understand your woman'

**As he was thinking, Cindy calls out**

Cindy: I know you're mad at me now, but please understand

*she sobs*

I was thinking about my future, my parents, and my siblings

*tears roll down her cheeks*

Please don't go, *wipes tears* please don't leave me

*she weeps the more*

*‘I WILL’ song beat starts playing*

*Krush turns and walks to her not knowing what to do, stares at her angrily.

Then carries her in his palms and starts singing a song while comforting her*

Krush: go and see a doctor tomorrow.

Cindy: okay.

Krush: *cleaning her tears* Do you have lectures tomorrow?

Cindy: yes, but it's by 1:00pm

Krush: better then, see her before one...

Cindy: Okay

*he hugs her deeply*
