Loretta’s Trailer Sunday Evening Evan was about to go up to the door when Leon walked around the car and stopped him. As he held out his hand for the keys, he warned, “Might not be a good idea to have it parked here.” “You’ve got a point,” Evan admitted. “I’ll ask her to put on a pot of coffee for us, give her a chance to freshen up. We’ll go leave it at my place and walk back.” “Nah,” Leon said as he climbed into the driver’s side. “She’s got to be scared, and she doesn’t know me. You have to admit, I don’t make a good first impression. But she might just confide in you. I’m sure you’ve got this covered.” Then he added, “Knock first when you come home. I’ve got the rest of that pint to kill. I’m going to think unclean thoughts and catch a nap.”
